You understood the pain of a Bengali... it's shameful that she is showing such filth in national tv after ruining the regional tv..non Bengali audience has grown all the wrong kind of mindset about Bengalis after her portrayal of Bengali households in Jhanak and Ishani..
Entire duration of Jhanak, there was reference to no cultural affinity of the Bengalis, there love for festivities like Durga puja, food and fun...bass toxicity se bhari padi hui thi puri ki puri show...one day I saw a portrait of Rabindranath Thakur on the wall of the hall of previous Bose House set...man hi man bol rahi thi jaldi se utaro uss portrait ko diwaar se...that portrait doesn't deserve to be hanging on to that wall, amid such filth..
And Leena says she is here to REPRESENT Bengal and it's culture on National platform and make Bengalis proud..đĄWhat Leena Gangopadhyay is doing on national television right now is not representation â itâs character assassination of an entire culture.
She already drained the regional TV space of its dignity with endless toxicity masquerading as âfamily drama.â Now sheâs exporting that same poison nationwide, and the tragic part is â so many non-Bengali audiences are consuming this warped portrayal as authentic.
Where is the Bengal we know? The Bengal of Durga Puja, dhaak beats and dhaner gondho. The Bengal of adda, literature, Rabindrasangeet, and rosogolla fights. The Bengal where love & wit resolve conflicts, not constant shrieking and humiliation.
Not one meaningful celebration and no...that infamous Holi in Jhanak doesn't count, not one cultural nuance â just a caricature of bitter women screaming in elaborate sarees. She reduced Bengali households to nests of manipulation, not warmth.Leena isnât just writing messy stories. Sheâs shaping wrong perceptions about an entire community. And that â more than bad storytelling â is unforgivable.
