I really liked him as karna, better than Aham sharam, he was so manly, so unapologetic as karna.

I know he was a great actor. I remember watching him for the first time(in My senses) in Chandrakanta and he was so great in it.

To think of it, once his character was introduced, the story completely got into the story of his character Shivdutt completely sidelining the leads of Chandrakanta and Vikram Virendra Singh.

He was good in movies too, I still remember him in Badshah and Tarzan..

Yes it's so disheartening. He was only 68, but lost his life to cancer.

Now it seems he was unwell for quite some time as we hardly saw him working lately. His last show was Dhruv Tara iirc

Yes I read about it yesterday, it was so sad he was only 68

He was the perfect Karna who had that royal look and was believable as a king and a feirce warrior , he was the only perfect fit for the role.
