Yeah well I have never personally experienced it but logo ne bataya hai ki it’s like your body goes in temporary paralysis and it’s like a malevolent force is watching over you, and you can’t do sh*t
I thank all my stars I don’t get to experience something like this 😓. I sleep alone so I can’t even sleep in complete darkness, always put a lamp on.
That’s exactly it, the first time you experience it rather the first few times it’s like you can feel a presence near you which feels evil but you can’t move and you can’t speak. Then you feel your eyes are open you see shadowy figures and all that. It’s terrifying. The worst part is you feel you are awake but you cannot move,
but eventually when it happens often enough and you educate yourself then magically for me atleast that aspect dissappeared. It really is a fascinating thing - like your brain wakes up but your body is locked (for your safety) and needs to catch up.
One interesting time I had an episode I hadn’t slept for two days due to work properly - I finally passed out, I had a sleep paralysis episode, I struggled to get out of it, I experienced I got out of sleep paralysis , I had woken up gone to kitchen and drank water but then realized I was still in sleep paralysis and my eyes opened a second time, a dream within a dream. I wasn’t scared at this point but genuinely irritated af. And to get out of it you need to wiggle your toes and shit it’s actually super exhausting. I used to get it a LOT when I was commuting long hours with bad sleep but now barely so.
