Uske baad complain karna is bad sportsmanspirit and feels like a case of sour grapes. Not that anyone has actually complained against this mind you... mujhe koi ek bhi post nahi dikhi kisi ki bhi.. jaha unko laga ho ki unke saath unfair hua and hume advantage dena galat tha. So I'm sorry for assuming that it's all in your head.. but until I find actual proof of people complaining.... it feels like that to me. The fact is that you (and probably a lot other people) expected ki Bingo aaram se pura mahina chalega.. but ended up against a team of competitive people who checked off half the card within 16-18 hours. Agar utna koi aur team karke dikhaye (16-18 hours from their starting point) to pata chal jayega... fair hai ya unfair.

Initially kisi ne kuch nahi kaha tha about the headstart... which means everyone agreed that it was a fair compensation for having one member less. How it turned out is not is not in anyone's hand.. and most people seem to be accepting that and focusing on their own reading. Also note that we have slow readers in our team too.. agar kisi ko jeetne ka itna man hai to hamara assigned task list front page par hai. Research karke wo bhi to target kar sakte hai na... jo pata hai ki hamara jaldi nahi ho payega? Instead of putting handicaps for us, the other teams need to step up their game if they really plan to compete.

At first it was the fact that fast readers of our team were swallowing up the tasks of slower readers. Jab uska clarification diya to it switched to how other teams had to wait for unresponsive members. Fir aaya 12 hr advantage par.... then daytime and nighttime. Next shayad aayegi ki we used discord to communicate isliye jaldi ho gai strategy planning.. and sticking to IF is what made others slow. Dhundne ho to 100 bahane mil jate hai... but the fact stands that the BIngo challenge was meant to motivate everyone to read faster and work together in groups. Very counter-productive to keep putting obstacles for the team that actually does it.

Nevertheless.. I won't waste more time arguing. It's better we both utilize this time and energy to read more for our respective teams. Good luck 🍀

@b : bolded statements.

Erm I know this is all water under the bridge or maybe even bridge under water (intentional hai), but damn I'm kinda offended. Sorry if I am rude, but no one has got any business shaming other teams or calling them complacent. You have a good team & are doing good ? Go ahead. Some people can afford to put a temporary pause on their daily routines, multitask for a game, but some cannot. I, as a captain, cannot demand people to be active ( Not insuinating WD did ) nor ask them to read faster.

You got a group that is active & has a bunch of fast readers, because of which you were able to finish everything much faster. Which is a natural advantage that you got, but the rest of the teams didnot afaik. But you also didn't see us cribbing about inactive players, did you ?

What Lizzie does or thinks is not upon us. When you know no one complained toh why at all take pot shots at the other teams ? We didn't crib when you guys were given the advantage, nor did we celebrate when the advantage was taken back. Toh yeh statements zaroori hi nahi tha imo.

Frankly we wouldn't have felt bad even if you guys had won because it's okay, ho jaata hai, kya karein. We would have just agreed that we needed a better strategy that's all, and moved on.

Stuti, you surely didn't except the captains to wage a mini Battle of Panipat with Lizzie as to why the 12 hr headstart was given, did you ? One it would have been extremely petty because I'm whining about a team getting an advantage, and two, I believe Lizzie to be fair, so questioning her decisions are counter productive to that notion.

I wasn't taking pot shots at other teams... though upon re-reading, I realize it might have seemed that way. To be clear, it was stated by Lizzie that the 12 hr advantage was making us win... my response was in regards to that. Ki same 12 hr mein dusro ke achievement dekhkar decide karlo.. fair hai ya unfair. It makes sense logically doesn't it? If other teams also claimed some lines in such a short duration.. then the headstart was unfair and the only reason we were winning. If not, then like you yourself pointed out... it was because our team had good members. We were angry that all our efforts were being boiled down to the headstart - hamari mehnat bhi thi usme... and we wanted that acknowledged.

Team mein kaun aayega ya kaun nahi ye to kisi ko nahi pata hota. We were lucky... yes.. but we weren't cheating our way through it. So ye leveling the playing field thing was unfair to us. Teams kisne banayi? Rules kisne banaye? It wasn't us! I understand how the rest of you feel.. really.. I do. I'm sure hum sab kabhi na kabhi life mein aise group projects ka hissa rahe hai.. jaha kuch members are gayab and only turn up when the marks are being awarded... puri mehnat 1-2 logo ke sar aa jati hai. And that is a sad situation... but why begrudge us our luck? (To be clear I don't think any of you would have done that. Yaha haar jeet to lagi rehti hai... and it would all have been over and forgotten... drama free... if not for the repeated interference. Jo jeeta uske jeetne do... as long as they aren't cheating. Next time kisi aur ka chance aayega... jaisa har mahine nayi teams ka aata hai.. waise hi. Why was this made into a big deal in the first place?)

@Blue Wasn't this my exact point? That no one else was complaining afaik... so it was all in Lizzie's head and the accusations being laid at our feet were wrong? Again, I wasn't taking pot shots at other teams.. I was just pointing out the exact same thing that you did... that participants ko aapati nahi to organizer ko kyu hai?? That statement about stepping up to compete was because we were being brought down over and over... to level the field. So agar itna level chahiye.. then ask others to step up... that was the kind of analogy I was trying to make. I even plainly pointed out how the other teams could be smart about it and still target our weak points to win. Level karna ho to aise hota hai... by seeing others teams advantages.. but also disadvantages and working accordingly... not by putting handicaps repeatedly bcz one team is performing good so no no.. we need to nerf them down. Mind you... I never once claimed that it was anyone other than Lizzie who was responsible for the handicaps... I haven't blamed any of the participants at any point.

@Green In an earlier msg I practically told her that it was her own (unnecessary) guilt she was assuaging... kisi bhi team ne kuch manga nahi hai.. na protest kiya hai. Butttt... jab aap logo ke naam par humare upar naye rules dale ja rahe the... that it was unfair for the other teams (while simultaneously introducing new rules that made things unfair for us) tab kyu nahi aaya ye statement? Aap logo ke kandho pe rakhkar goliyan chalai gayi hai.. and if you were okay with that.. then you should also be okay with accepting a little return firing. (I want to be clear here that the only return firing I ever intended was the open challenge... any other perceived insults or offenses weren't meant for you and I apologize if they seemed so).

@Pink Are you for real? Organizers bhagwan nahi hai.. they make mistakes same as us.. and if you feel something is wrong or unfair.. to usko point out karna does not mean a battle smiley29. In fact, it helps us make things better for everyone involved... by having multiple PoVs and thoughts laid out. When the challenge was announced, it was supposed to be compulsory for everyone.. some members weren't interested and I pointed out to Lizzie how it was unfair towards them. She agreed and found a good enough arrangement, didn't she? She is fair, yes... and for that very reason, I'm sure she wouldn't have found your complaint petty or whiny... but instead taken it up and tried to modify things that made it something everyone could get behind. Maybe discuss ho sakta tha.. that headstart ki jagah kuch aur compensation diya jaay.. who knows.. a discussion like that could have brought out really good ideas! So next time... don't be so afraid to put your views out in front of the organizers. If you find something wrong - say it! it will make things more enjoyable for everyone involved... and further help us avoid such messes later. As an organizer myself, I would be very appreciative of anyone that helped me iron out the kinks in my rules... and from whatever little I've understood about Lizzie so far.. she would have been grateful too.
