I agree, Aishwarya was way too calm when Malika told her. She may not have been part of the rape plan, but after hearing it, she came up with a plan to kill 2 birds with one stone: stop Vikranth from finding out about Malika's plan and create problems between Mannat and Dad. Plus no one will believe anything Anurudh says now. So his threat of talking to the family, telling them about her past, is null and void now. What a plan. Brilliant really

However, I feel that at least part of her story was real. Maybe the rape happened within a relationship. Maybe she joined a gang or something. Something is missing. What we already saw in Anurudh's behaviour perfectly matches Aishwarya's past memories.

I guess Aishwarya will now pretend to be nice to Mannat and, in the process, actually develop maternal feelings towards her. Somehow they are going to whitewash Aishwarya. I have mixed feelings about all this.
