Of course they won’t actually kill a dog for a scene. I meant I don’t like movies where dogs or other animals are picturised dying. It’s too traumatic, especially because it does happen a lot IRL.

A Tamil movie and a really good directorial debut film (Pariyerum Perumal) - as so many I've watched. The Tamil movie was released seven years ago and got several awards (and rightly so).

I'm sure this movie tried to do the right thing but the problem is life is tough already and I don't want to watch anything that makes me uncomfortable. I'm sure caste based discrimination hits close to home for many in india, hence no one wants to watch something so close to reality.

Someone spoil the ending for me.

This part 2 starts from where part one had ended and after that it's nothing much interesting🙄

One scene I found disturbing is the dog being tied up to railway track and killed by the train that was too traumatic it was done to make the hero realise that u too are dogs and will be treated like this

Songs are boring the heroine also is slow and just plain bland siddhant has done well

Overall slow paced with disappointment😞 climax

rating around 2 to max 2.25

also, what is up with siddanth's dark makeup? are they trying to say that people of a lower caste are dark skinned wheras upper caste people are fair?

I also asked the same question on page 3 of this thread. Siddhanth is a fair skinned handsome boy but they deliberately made him look not only brown but somewhat ugly with that ridiculous thin mush…are they saying the people from the so called bc/st look ugly? Talk about stereotyping….😞

But they marketed it as a love story.. So anyone who wanted to watch a serious film would've not gone... And people who go for romance are disappointed..

Pre covid many plex movies dealt with complex societal issues and did well. Like you pointed out Article 15 did well. Post covid these kind of movies cine goers like to watch at home on ott platforms. I hope the movie finds its audience on ott eventually because the reviews are mostly good.
