Ok, I've put a hold on the first Lincoln Lawyer book and The devotion of suspect X, I should have them in a few days. I think I'd like to read the latter - it may not be something I'd pick up on my own so doing a Buddy Read with it might work for me.

Anything from my list work for you? Otherwise, I can dive into my TBR and come up with some more.

All the books in your definitely work for me, Liz! smiley36 especially The simple wild - K.A. Tucker & The Last Mrs. Parrish are dope, at least from what I read in the blurb.

Can we do Simple Wild? smiley36 I really want to try and read it & I think a Buddy Read might be just the incentive to do so given the number of times it’s been a non-starter for me. Plus since we’re doing one thriller one romance will be a nice balance.

We can shelve The Last Mrs. Parrish for later if we feel like reading more than 2 books. What say?

If that’s okay with you and you can get hold of the book right away, we can begin with that one (from Aug 1 or 2) and then move on to Devotion of Suspect X, since it will take me at least 3-4 days to get it.

Done. I'll get the book today, and we can start on Aug 1st itself.

@b: sure, sounds good!

Last month has been a combination of thriller and romance, and I am kinda loving it smiley36 so this sounds really good to me.

Hey Vera!

I already have The Simple Wild so let me know when you’re ready to start. Also how should we do this? Few chapters a day or read the whole thing and come back to discuss it?

I have it downloaded too and I'm ready to start as well. Both work for me. Maybe this time around, can we have a few chapters for 2-3 days ? So that even if I am not able to read one day, I'll catch up the next and we can discuss it. Thoughts ?

So the book has 27 chapters plus prologue - that’s 28. We can target a week to finish it? Or by next Sunday (which is Aug 9) So 3 chapters a day in 9 days (last day will have 4 chapters). Does that sound reasonable?

Or we can do it like you said - r we d 10 chapters in say 3 days and come back to discuss them at the end of 3 days.

So if we start today, we read upto chapter 10 by Aug 3 . Does that sound better?

Mm let's do it this way both seems reasonable to me. We can cover the first 10 chapters upto Aug 3, and then we can cover 3 chapters / day. Is this okay ?

Yeah I mean we can do

Upto chapter 10 (Aug 3)

Upto chapter 20 (Aug 6)

End of book (Aug 9)

That way we have only 3 discussion points and don’t have to come back each day (though we can if we want to if some thought strikes us and we want to share it immediately)

I also saw there are discussion points by the author at the end of the book so that might be fun to visit if we feel like it (again we don’t have to)

This looks good! Yup, if I have some thing that strikes me as funny or something that appeals to you or me, we can post it here. Lagna bhi toh chahiye we discussed smiley14 and waise bhi as far as books are concerned, our thoughts are kinda similar so I really hope we enjoy reading this one! smiley36
