(1) Not everyone has access to the VB Forum.

(2) Not everyone is reading every post in every forum.

That's not transparency and that's not facts. You did not tell us as voters what was going on and neither did you tell the graphicers. This should have been decided before a contest was announced and made public at that time so graphicers could have decided if they wanted to participate or not.

Then this should have been told to voters so we could decide if we want to vote or not.

Do not tell people to recheck their facts or that they are saying wrong things when you haven't made facts public.

We have mentioned to voters before voting round began that … we have lots of prizes and surprises, that’s because of the enthusiasm shown by members and participants equally.

This is a banner contest not a game. In this case please consider my votes in any banner contests you are currently hosting as null and void. I was not informed of this weird decision in advance and as a voter I do not feel comfortable having my votes used to have 6 runner-ups when I was trying to vote for a winning banner.

Now, I would like to take a moment to thank all the graphicers who submitted banners for this contest. You all did some great work! I chose 4 banners out of 16, but you all had some great work out there!

Congrats Parm for winning here!

And congrats Stuti for being first runner-up!

SweetButSpicy, Sima, and Kavya your work was great but in my view a banner contest should only have 1 runner-up and as such I cannot congratulate you for your second, third, fourth, and fifth runner-up positions but once again I will say that I loved your banners and hope you continue to take part in contests!

I think it's a good idea having 6 runner ups...

I mean all the 16 people have definitly put a lot of efforts into making the banners and if there was a tie in 6 banners what's the problem in displaying them for a month each?

I mean it's like a token of appreciation for them as we appreciate all the hard work... also to the other 9 people

Like instead of keeping just one banner the whole time wouldn't it be cute to go with @sutapasimas idea

Pls don't take my message in a wrong was as if I am opposing your thoughts but yall have been hosting these competitions since years and I am sure it's always been 1 winner and 1 runner up

But what's the problem in having a change this time? Ofc I understand there was a misunderstanding created but instead of fussing over it why not just accept this new type of banner result?

Hi not at all taken in the wrong way. I understand your point. I think my issue is more with the fact that there are 6 runner ups and all 6 banners are being used. If it was 2 runner-ups maybe that would have made more sense, but that's my thinking. If there were so many runner-ups and ties, then a second round of voting is typically conducted to see if people like another banner better. But even that wasn't done here.

So I guess as someone who has been a mod for over 10 years and has run hundreds of these contests and seen many permutations and combinations, this one just stood as very odd and weird.

@ Minionite, I am grateful to you for your suggestions and advice regarding the banner contest results. I will follow the instructions given by you as our senior DT member from now onwards.

I requested Sutapasima to conduct the banner contest in my forum, and I am thankful to her for the successful completion of this contest.
