It's become boring and it's only shut down when that trp meter treand downwards..

Mostly emotional depths can be seen in limited time episodes and flims... 70s and 80s artistic flims are best examples for emotional depth connection in Indian cinemas...

Before this daily soap era also tv has limited episodes shows amd we still remembered n cherished them today rather too much longer running show...

Bold@ Yes, Anand (1971) has emotional depth. The dialogues are memorable, and the lyrics of the songs are good.

two men are talking to each other in a room and one of them is laughing .I like the lyrics of the song, Zindagi kaisi hai paheli. It was sung by a legendary Bengali singer, Manna Dey.

That audience is different from your online audience. That’s exactly why crap shows like Anupamaa, jungle Laxmi and etc are doing so well.

The topics that you have mentioned - mental health, gender equality, LGBTQ+ are topics which your rural audience don’t really connect to. So why would any channel or PH waste their time or money backing it. Production costs bhi recover nahi hoga. Episodes chalayenge kaise?

Nutty ji it's mostly how the tv reached to small section rather rural section of society's spread is the key of television viewership..

Before 2000 tv was not that much common in rural areas and backward areas of India.. so storytelling is appealing to target upper class society and middle class and their problems now it's reached categories to rural based and semi urban based viewers whereas urban based people now prefer ott content or watch tv shows on ott apps rather than on tv...

So thought we criticize called them cringe, toxicity some sections audience consumed this content and channels are targeting that audiences now ....

While sp, Colors, zee, Dangal are more popular in semi urban and other areas sony n Sony sab cater to urban population...

So yeah mental health, lbgtq+, gender equality are mostly discussed and focused in urban areas but still today also in rural areas specially hindi speaking States and some other regions patriarchal mindset is their..

And women also don't get that deserved respect and husband is god concept their though it's coming now somewhere 10% end but 90%audiences faces theses concepts so that's why shows like anupmaa, manga laxmi, yrkkh, kyunki, kasuatii, khahani ghar ki recently kkb s4 which now getting trp boaster after pranali doing tandav for her forcefully husband jaan etc. get popularity and people consumed these old wine new bottles concept and channels has every right to look for profits rather more focused on contents because it's given them in sliver platter to them by us...

And as said those dramas mainly focus on physical romance whereas emotional bond which actually is called love is covered in serials and lusty stuffs come in end....

Aap ji argue na kare lekin 3 hrs , 6/,7 episodes n limited time bound series also tells you like episodic shows focused on love story n it's depth... Physical love pack n parcel of that Deep love because when you love someone deeply strictly speaking between couple then you simultaneously attract to each other physically also so how can you tell that in series n movies love is only physical and longer running shows emotional bond.... ???

Yep. TRP is calculated of only those people who have bar-o-meters installed. That’s the sample set.

Baki even if you watch on TV, it won’t be counted.

And those people get some payment also na in that have samples set at home..

If you look at jodha akbar series as a fiction serial then yeah it developed very well till 300 episodes by Ekta but in real sense it's only political marriage and haraka bai given preference because she has given hire to throne to Akbar so she has gained respect and get the title of Mariam uka zabani (maybe spelled wrongly also) but like that some where... Their relationship was loved it's nowhere mentioned in history books of India...

No, I haven't yet watched Amar Prem. But I know it's a popular movie. The story of Amar Prem was written by an eminent Bengali author, Bibhutibhusan Bandopadhyay.

Yes, I also wrote that their marriage was a political alliance only. The movie and the TV show showed their relationship from a romantic angle. But it wasn't romantic in reality.

Yes, I agree. He said Jack and Rose didn't love each other, and they were only driven by hormones. But Jack sacrificed his own life to save Rose. So, I don't think it was lust for him.
