Ghum is highly intellectual and thought-provoking. It's so complex that we often don't understand the storyline and the direction properly. For instance- I didn't understand why someone pretended to be a driver and didn't reveal his real profession for a long time. I also didn't understand why someone didn't think about taking consent before applying vermillion on a woman's forehead. So, it clearly shows that we don't have the ability to understand the depth and complexity of this show. Ghum will definitely win Emmy awards. It'll be the second non-English show to win Emmy awards.
