The day Armaan said that his family loved him when they were talking about the prenup thing, I kinda knew. And then Abhira’s anger subsided after that accident - clear indication that all his kaands would be redeemed by making him a much bigger victim. Traumatized people in other shows who give lifetime trauma to others aren't justified by showing them victim. He is not just flawed, whatever he does stopped making any sense long back. I thought he will have much needed change in approach after Shivani's track but no, all the progression went down the drain. For him infertility taunts, prenup for Abhira to give up her career, requesting her to convince her brother not to file a case against Vidya if she want their relationship to work, was normal. Vidya was a bigger victim than Abhira after thali peeto welcome curses and infertility taunts, even Vidya was bigger victim than Abhir when he was handicapped same way Dadisa bari hain. Bas entitlement honi chahiye to whine and complain after abandoning a partner worst possible way for seven years. Rishta MLs use to have sense of right and wrong or they didn't play victim after being wrong.

I know, I know. I have written this somewhere else as well. Amaan is a narcissist, and that has nothing to do with his trauma. His cruelty is towards the person who loves him, but not towards the ones who have actually caused him trauma, which is quite the opposite of Ruhi. And people who say that his character was destroyed. I do not agree with that anymore. He was always like that. He needs one obsession, and in pursuit of that, he would burn everything else.
