Something that has been bothering me for some time now, so I thought to let it out and ask you all that simple question to which I really want to know your response to.
If instead of Shilpa, Karan had decided to leave the show, what would you have done?
The reasons behind me asking this question is very simple, as we all know that the majority of IF members on the DMG forum are girls, and we all love Karan. And after Shilpa's exit, I saw numerous posts saying that we should watch the show for Karan's sake. Also after Iqbal Khan's exit from Choona hai aasmaan, a number of people stopped watching the show, because their main reason for watching was Iqbal.
So now I want to ask you, If Karan had decided to quit the show, would you have left the show, or would you have given the new Armaan a chance, like new Ridz is being given? And do you think that a great deal of comparisons would have been made between the actors? Do you watch the show just for Karan or any other actor, or do you watch it because of its unique approach and story?
Well I'll give you my answer to the question:
For me at the beginning I started watching the show, because it looked very fresh and different to the other programmes, as time passed… I fell in love with each and every character, and then slowly it dawned on me, that it was the actor's portrayal of that character that I have fallen in love with…so yes for me it would be really hard to except anyone else as Armaan, because I have fallen in love with the way he enacts the character. But I am not sure I would stop watching the show, yes I might never be able to except or look at the new Armaan the same way as before. It would have lost its charm, but I would still watch it not for that character, but just to see my other favourite characters. I would likely to turn a blind eye on the new Armaan, but that doesn't mean that the new actor is not good, but it's because it is not being portrayed the same way that I had fallen in love with. And this would stand true for any of the characters of the show, and not just Armaan.
So would you be able to fight the urge to watch the programme without Karan, or would you take a flight?
Ps: It is just a rhetorical question? So please don't be offended or take it in any seriousness, take it lightly.
Note: Please do not mention anything about Shilpa or Sukirti here…this has nothing to do with either of them.
