I watch some old itv shows and I still can't believe the state of itv today, instead of better we're offer recycle stories in a different wine bottle and with no talent and boring faces. Talent was so important back then actors had to really audition now it's how many SM followers you have with no talent. It's crazy great actress that started at 18-20's 10 years later are considered too old and not on our screen. We have producers hiring 14 to play FL roles and romance grown men on screen. I was really interesting in the story of Ghum 3 but when the story got interesting they killed the character instead of just replacing the actress if she was really the issue as they claim but no they killed the character.

You saw me rave about Namik and nibbi's pairing couple of days ago but did I tolerate the crap just for the sake of thier chemistry? No!

My liking for Harshad is never gonna convince me to watch something I'd find boring. In this case, his pairing with Shivangi and ofcourse the hair...!!

Shirsha, I caught up with the pilot episode of Squid game after seeing your fondness for it. I'm emotionally disturbed by the amount of bloodshed!

Should I continue watching? does it get better and start making sense?

Agreed on every word you said. Fresh storylines are non existent these days. Even dialogues are being recycled from the shows that are not even a decade old. They cast nibba-nibbis based on SM profile and cry about not getting better trps. Idk what casting directors have been smoking nowadays.

If you feel disturbed by the amount of bloodshed, don't continue. There's no need to force yourself to watch something. Of course, it's a very good show. I like the way emotions and relationships are portrayed in the show. There're a lot of emotional depth and thrill in Squid Game. It's interesting to watch how people behave in cruel situations. It's intriguing how people can go to extreme lengths to save themselves and earn money. Yes, it'll obviously get better because bonds, betrayal, character development will be shown. But if you can't get into it and don't feel connected, stop watching it. Every person doesn't like every show.

I've seen violent shows before. I might watch a couple more episodes until I'm bored. All that violence in the first episode itself caught me off gaurd. Infact, I'm intrigued to know what's the hype's all about.

I understand you want to know why Squid Game is very popular. But don't force yourself. See, there will be a lot of violence and bloodshed in upcoming episodes too. Even in season 2, a lot of people get killed. So, it can be difficult for you to watch if you feel disturbed after watching the first episode. Btw, I didn't become a fan of Squid Game after watching season 1 in 2021. I mean I thought it was a good show after watching season 1. But I wasn't addicted to it. I became a die-hard fan only after watching season 2 in 2024. I think I became much more emotionally attached to the character of the protagonist, Gi-hun and the show after watching the second season. A lot of people said season 2 was disappointing and season 1 was way better than season 2. I saw those comments on social media. But I liked season 2 very much due to some reasons. In my opinion, both of the seasons are very good.
