Hi friends,
DON'T MISS: Top 10 Terrorist Films
Aamir (2008)
Hot Performers: Rajeev Khandelwal
Director: Rajkumar Gupta
Rajeev Khandelwal has made a successful transition from TV to movies. And with Aamir, he has proved he can pull audiences to the big screen. He plays Aamir, an NRI who gets a phone call one day and is asked to follow the instructions of the caller, or die, as is the case. Sounds familiar? Colin Farrell, Phone Booth, Cellular? Inspired or not, the fact is that the film has managed to connect with the audience somewhere.
A large part of the credit goes to director Rajkumar Gupta for creating this gripping tale. Apart from Rajeev, what works for the movie is its length – one-and-a-half hours and documentary-style (not surprising, considering Gupta had assisted Anurag Kashyap on Black Friday).
REVIEW: Rajeev's Aamir is 3/5
Forthcoming: My Name Is Khan (2009)
Predicted Hot Performer: Shah Rukh Khan
Director: Karan Johar
Even Karan Johar has turned to the issue of terrorism as a 'new' idea, after he's sort of run out of fresh tales of love and longing.
