It's not that people aren't watching CID. You're falling into the same trap as Sony and the PH. TRP is just for the 10 PM time slot. At the beginning no one knew repeat timings, whether the show would be online, etc. so more people tuned in exactly at 10 PM to watch the episode. Over time, as Sony set in the repeat slot and put up the episodes on Sony LIV (and other online sites also got the episode), people stopped watching at 10 PM.

I feel like the biggest indicator of how many people are watching CID is the backlash from the whole Ayushmann-Pradyuman, Parth-Satam sir saga. The duo were trending in top 10 for 2 weeks in a row. Satam sir has been trending in top 10 for 4 weeks now. And Parth for 3 weeks. (I mean on Twitter FYI.) That in itself is a huge indicator of the following CID has and the viewership.

It's not just Sony though. Most channels still base their decisions on TRP, but TRP is only an indicator of the scheduled timing of the episode. For any show, these channels need to start looking at online viewership, repeat telecast viewership, and SM discussions.

Sony”s weekly evening shows/serials also very low trp compared to SAB. Look at that Radhika Dil Se and previous serials which are now off air.

Sab has good reach than sony reason they shifted their show to sab previously

Their weekly (Mondays-Fridays) serials don't garner trps. (serials like Kavya, Pukar, Dabangi Mulgi Aayi Re Aayi, Bade Achhe Lagte hein S2 &S3 etc). Some went off air in 3 to 6 months

I had no idea all this existed too 😂

I used to watch one regular on Sony.. Pyar Ko Ho Jane Do. It had good casting (Iqbal Khan and Mona) and storyline.. It was an Ekta Kapoor show as well.. still it used to get 0.2 trp.

So, it's absolutely Sony tv that's responsible for the downfall of TRP of the shows. They have pretty bad marketing and promotion team.

CID up 0.1 to 0.4 this week.
