So let’s not use words like decency towards people that want zero tolerance against Islamic terrorism by state sponsor of terror Pakistan.

You see history has proven that this playbook has failed (another addition to playbook - use decency in a way that makes others wonder if they are being indecent). Least one can do is support the ones supporting action against Islamic terrorism (covert and overt).

Sending a kid to terrorist camp is epitome of decency. Pakistan killing innocent people is also epitome of decency. But how dare we retaliate?? Even if we attacked the terrorist camps and didn't attack any normal civilians still how dare we?? Masood aur uska pariwar jo use bacha raha tha sab normal civilians hai. Logic bhale hi potty khane jaye but India is terroristsmiley7 and pakistan is epitome of decency and peacefulnesssmiley9

If this news is true. Let’s admit it. This is a failure by Indian diplomacy and also rest of the world agreeing to provide this loan to a state sponsor of terror.

Their playbooks are like the one book of their. No ne is buying them anymore

Osama bin laden, hafiz sayeed, masood are all respectable figures hence it's our right to protect them and get killed by them 🙏 🙏 🙏

@bold: So you said people arent stopping them because of fear, right?? Then what about the innocent people of other religions who were killed?? Why dont they condemn those attacks?? ...

Tell me, why did most so called normal/good, muslims not condemn the attack or support india’s fight against terrorism and pakistan?? Instead, many seemed to go against india. Then how can you expect ordinary people of other religions to not generalize all muslims in a negative light?? ...

... how is an average person from another religion supposed to differentiate between a good muslim and a bad muslim?? If someone with a long beard and a religious cap commits a terror attack in the name of islam, then how can a normal person distinguish between who’s good or bad?? If terrorists are killing in the name of their religion, how can people not associate that with the religion they are invoking??

... whose responsibility is it to clean up this mess?? Obviously, its you, the members of that religion. But if you are afraid to act, then who is cleaning it up?? Governments of other countries. And what are so called good muslims doing?? Instead of condemning the terrorists from their own community, they are busy abusing their own country’s government, not supporting their country and in some cases, even showing sympathy for enemy nations known for sponsoring terrorism. Then how do you expect to have a positive image globally?? First, correct your behavior then talk about being victims.

@blue: Now about your argument that parents send their kids to madrasas or Islamic schools out of fear from the community, what kind of religion or community is this, where you cant even choose your child’s school freely?? Dont you see the flaws in your own religion and community??

Why is there so much pressure on what you can or cant do?? I

Again, dear, Islam isn't my religion smiley2

The last question surely is the most important one... What do y o u think, "why there is so much pressure", Raj?

Because of lack of time I only comment on the questions (as good as possible)...I mostly agree to the comments in-between.

After what you so kindly let me know about your life, I think, I best tell you a bit about what I lived/live myself. That may also answer your questions.

I assume that you, basically, live in a relative peaceful place with Muslims in your near environment. It's a bit the same to me although the young people frequent public schools as there isn't an Islamic one in the vicinity. Also, their situation isn't comparable with those young men who are mentioned in the excerpt I've posted as this are mostly families where the parents are already living and working here since between 20 to 30 years. It's also a small community but with quite educated backgrounds. There are also some Indians living in my area.

At Mumbai and elsewhere in India, it was me, the foreigner. My visites before 2014 gave me another impression of the communal life than after 2014 and when I asked my aquaintances I knew from previous visits, they talked about Muslim or Hindu (which wasn't even a subject previously), about raising aggressivity and also more arguments/conflicts with the youngsters and the Imam and some of their neighbours and about what they have watched on TV and taking distance to the '"other" one...Pakistan became subject, too. It was still in a nascent state and there were still mixed groups. Of course, I asked them about their feelings and they all admitted that they felt uneasy...they didn't know what was true about some things shown or told...there had been meetings where sometimes someone came to tell them what to do and what not... when, initially, they had asked something which they felt uneasy about, didn't want to do or didn't understand, they got scolded that they would not be "good" Hindus/Muslims etc...although knowing English, they mostly are simple people, some even standing in groups in the morning waiting to get work for a day at least...some boys had to change school, some girls got mobbed in school...

I also have aquaintences in "higher" places, working in a company or having business whom I call from time to time...some also changed through the years, they told me that some things one better shouldn't discuss anymore, not at work, not even in the family, best only with people with the same mindset (and even then, one can't be sure). They got to know through factchecking and other people that one couldn't trust if photos, videos and reports hadn't been made or manipulated, they felt to get urged into thinking in a certain way (Hindus and Muslims and one Sikh, I know).

My aquaintances in Germany openly would- among other subjects - either criticise Indian politics or laud them, but there also, distancing happened because of different views on religious matters (Hindu/Muslim) and politics so that our one group split into two groups (each including me).

About Islamic terrorism, I only got the same answer: criminals, horrible persons, indoctrinated Muslims, fck Pakistan to give them place and shelter, there are also groups in India...almost all the things I read here, too, and I also think. None of my aquaintances has a nice word for them - unanimous rejection and anger, no excuse for what they did and do.

Nevertheless, I got told that there are people who aren't happy at all about that it even could happen, that the valley had been chosen because of being remote and without cameras and security and that it was only t o l d that it had been Muslim terrorists from Pakistan and from Kashmir but that it had not been really well investigated.

The last opinion I got was an unanimous yes for targetting the nine terror-camps...that gave a really high to all the people I contacted (including the Muslims among them). Some said that it had been long overdue. However, most of them don't want a regular war.
