I am late to this party. But can’t resist my two cents.

I think, Family reunion was for their proper wedding proposal which was left for our imagination.
1. Sikandar family accepted Salar’s love for Sitara.

2. Salara are clear from Badnami and accepted with grace in the eyes of Taya family.

3. Salar left Sitara as he realised that she kept blaming him as she never accepted his love and was always planning to leave him. Until his love is reciprocated, he cannot pull this relationship further.

4. Sitara got time and space to realise how she feels without Salar. That’s why, after finally getting everything she ever wanted- honour restored, Family acceptance, job and power to make her own life decisions, she is still miserable and keeps crying/missing/ chasing after Salar.

5. Taya too got his revenge for all the blackmailing by Salar with one phone call.

6. Sitara would have never gotten over her insecurities if the entire family was not there to plead Salar’s case. She is embarrassed in her mind over the penniless photographer phase and cannot rationalise why would Salar do so much for her, thus giving power to her imagination and misunderstandings that he wants to take revenge/ fulfill Zid etc etc. Also, as a person starved of love since beginning of teenage, she is unable to accept all acts of love by Salar and thereby inviting wrath of viewers.

7. Sitara and Salar didn’t have any pre/post wedding function/ritual/ relation. They were roommates at best. Sitara was counting her days there, living in fear and Salar was finding his footing in life, trying to take responsibility of Sitara and being friends with her. He never forced any physical intimacy over her except hand holding. So now that Sitara is secure enough to confess her love, she wants a do over in old Sitara style.

8. Best bit- Sitara called, got to know who it feels to be blocked, confessed although indirectly, proposed/ demanded a proper wedding, initiated physical contact.

Okay done now.

P.S. they never showed Salar in Sitara’s room. The final convo could have happened there

One of the main reasons y Kaffara is one of my absolute fav is that they properly showed the development & progression of Salar & Sitara's love story. Also I liked how both of them never accepted each other until they were sure it was love. Even though he was sympathetic towards Sitara, Salar never entertained the thought of marrying her to help her out. But once he knew it was love, he went all out to pursue her. Same with Sitara.

I really liked salar's family coming to get Sitara back as it was important to show that they accepted her on their own n not for salar's sake.
