The Car Ride in melancholy- Repeat of the past for ar ru

When I saw RP and Garvita as ar ru in the car scene today reminiscing Ro, I was taken back to a similar scene in the beginning of s4 which Sheh and Pret did.

The scene today kind of proved the story of ar ru could have been viewed completely differently if RP-Garvita were ar ru from first episode. The connection they brought in today scene was remarkable and in the beginning of s4 especially the first 3 months ar ru got the best scenes which were not delivered properly due to actors incompetency.

For me the story was always ar -ru or rather ruhi ka armaan. We still don't know what's ru ka armaan ya desire, it's hidden somewhere in the depth of the ocean. Ru says ro ar in resort " hum donon ke beech ek connection hai" their real connection is not yet revealed. I don't believe they are soulmates but definitely ar is connected to ru's past in some way.

Ab had always masked their real connection or rather she is the Maya ya illusion between ar and ru. The easiness with which ru talked to ar in the car or in the room shows a solid emotional connect, which you never feel with ab-ar. Abhimaan for me has mostly come across a physical relationship that benefits both of them to retain power.

Seeing the car scene once again the question lingers. To whom ar had lied. To ru ya to ab. Ar promised ru he won't love anyone, then he told ab she is first and last love. Has ar really moved on from ru, the scenes in hospital and car speak otherwise.

Ru has promised she will never give her ❤️ to anyone else. It will have only armaan or rather her desire. So did she allowed ro in her heart or just in her life. Ar ru was never a simple relationship, it had a depth that should have been showcased from day 1.

Melancholy defines that relationship. Everything about them was incomplete. From confession to proposal to marriage that was thwarted twice, It's like ru's desire was given to ab.

Exactly like ar said to ab in initial episodes " woh wahan hai, isliye tum yahan ho"

Because ru chose ro ak had a guy to manipulate in her deathbed without thinking whether he loves someone or not to unburden herself of her unruly and untamed daughter.

Did ar and ru lost each other in the mess of pride and responsibility.

Is ar paying ak the cost of saving his life by sacrificing his love to satisfy his baby wife ab. Because if u remove ar, ab the high flying balloon will burst and fall.

But Armaan never loved Roohi, the way he loves Abhira. He was just mildly infatuated with Roohi in the beginning and the feelings slowly disappeared, but his heart only has Abhira. Of course he has wronged both of them at different phases in the storyline but here I am speaking only about the supposedly soulmate connection

No dear it was not love but infatuation already shown in the show.when arman test ruhi love she failed at a time of abhimaan wedding that cliff scene.

I'm the big fan of abhimanyu (Hc) in gen3 but will not support ruhi in this generation 4 .

Wat she is doing it will be insult of rohit true love and poddars trust.

Arman only true love is abhira and it Will till end of this generation.she supported him when he actual needed like a family.they both are each other family.

Ruhi's family is now only daksh but yes she is getting support from her sis & Armaan.

I also said same that armaan was infatuated with Roohi but I don't agree that roohi failed at time of cliff scene. Why should she die ?

Shruti, I love your analysis from past shows. But I disagree here that Armaan true love is someone else because this is itv show and leads are Armaan and Abhira who will love one another until CVS bring another guy for Abhira and make both move on with others. But till that happens, I am closing my eyes and know it’s Armaan and Abhira even though I don’t see Armaan actually romantically loving anyone. Ruhi is also a lead but parallel lead. Since it’s a dumb itv show, I know the writers are telling me Armaan’s love is Abhira. I do agree that Armaan and Ruhi have the emotional connection which was what made them stick to one another in the first place. Some people do have that despite not being romantic partners. It’s that emotional connection which Armaan mistook it as love.

What an interesting and potentially war zone topic lol

When the show started it did show Arman ruhi are similar person and abhira the breath of fresh air who rebels and wanted Arman to come out of shadow. The polar opposites love story of itv as usual. Arman ruhi did have some sweet scenes and like you said they had that connection cause they come from similar background - house full of people but still lonely. But the cast was replaced and they dropped the ball. There was no reason to show ruhi going chudail like to convince Arman. Dressing up as bride etc was sooo weird after that guy ditched her on mandap.

The best part of acting by ropu garvita was that scene where Arman falls on her feet begging for forgiveness. Purely from acting perspective that was a scene it really makes you feel two lovers for some reason not able to come together.

If they had kept the same characteristics of Arman ruhi we still could have seen some lingering regret longing of these two but makers remember it with convenience so when ruhi behaves behna like.with abhira or arman cares for ruhi it comes across as odd.
