I think they have successfully shown Armaan and Abhira to be each other’s true love. There are no two ways about it.

The story will always be about them and how others impact their lives.

Armaan seems to have truly loved only Vidya. This is what I have gathered from watching Gen4. He was willingly to leave Ruhi for family and then Abhira for family (Vidya in this case) too. He was so disturbed after marrying Abhira because of Vidya. Vidya was all in his mind despite marrying his supposed love. It doesn’t seem to move he has loved truly anyone romantically. But he did have emotional connection with Ruhi while he has care connection for Abhira.

His love for vidya and Dadisa is the most, no doubt but in his own way, he does love Abhira (i will never deny she deserves better and he has wronged both Roohi and Abhira at different timelines) But for Roohi he never stood for their love, whereas for Abhira he has sometimes gone against his whole family and supported her.

He now loves abhira but uptil that moment before jai Mala on stage , he was ambigious about ruhi & they proposely kept him like that to fuel ruhis delusion ..otherwise every sane person would draw the boundaries specially when there is family involved ..

The boundaries between ruhi & arman were always blurred ..he never called her "bhabhi" ..she never called him by any other name ..ek poora ruhi arman puran hai in gen 4 dedicated to the both of them...did arman ever say "you are my dead brothers wife , it's over between us , whether me and abhira are divorced are not "

Their car scene , the way they communicated with eo was very natural (dunno it was done on purpose or otherwise ) , better than best friends as if they know eo better..

Even now , arman would never say he's caring for her bec of pookie ..he'll never say he sees her as rohits wife & respect her as his bhabhi ..he will unintentionally give her mixed signals and blast later ke this isn't what he meant ..it's just a rehash ..
