My two cents as a whole.....
ITV shows are written very illogically but still there were multiple layers to PL which wasn't portrayed as grey instead black....
Pre leap:
She had reasons to follow Virat because Samrat was missing they didn't know he was even alive or not, it was a deal and was promised to never move on....so she had hopes and used to disturb their equation plus family dramas jisse Sai door chali jaaye....When he came back, directly proposed in cafe because was offered divorce and Sairat had issues again....from that insult things changed alot and feel like ki her love for Samrat wasn't of two days..... bolte hai naa rehte rehte aadat lag jaati hai insaan ki so that's why she was clearly unaffected of Shruti having even kid with Virat and when Sai accepted him wholeheartedly all the doors got closed, so she started realising Samrat's presence isliye jaldi move on kar paayi but then JT as always came and destroyed everyone's life....
PPl say she was obsessed with Virat I say it ended with cafe waala rejection it was just her negativity for Sai a girl because of whom she lost first Virat, then Samrat.....Surrogacy was really non sense drama still if you will see last episode where in jail she had self realisation ki maine kya kar diya it was understandable.....she just wanted to snatch what she lost love life and kid so got opportunity....
And after leap:
Sai left and she indirectly took care of Virat when he was suicidal for years...then for adoption he needed a mother who can't expect anything in relationship so she got Virat as well 7-8 years passed and then from nowhere Sai came followed by Savi as their kid, even Vinu as their lost child in that period she even lost her womb otherwise till end where Sai wanted Vinu all for herself she never choose wrong routes....so I connected to her after leap especially as mother....
Even somewhere JT was forgiven by Sai toh PL was quite low....I used to dislike her still if makers wanted use ParL ki tarah dikha sakte the instead of vamp directly.....
. Even Vaibhavi has improved from the initial episodes and got the knack of her character. Param has obviously lived upto the usual expectations from him. 
and Neil is toh mujrim because he did wrong by saying truth to Juhi.....ATP she is very weird, from nibbi to this selfish mode is not acceptable....
....Teju would be still in her problematic nature....
