I do feel bad for Rutu really — but more than that I’m tired of hearing conspiracy theories. People love saying Dhoni engineered the whole “injury” to remove Rutu from captaincy. It’s absolute nonsense & plus he’s the only reliable cricketer that CSK has — what do you mean he’s not playing for the rest of the IPL ? He was retained because he’s a good batter, uske alawa aur koi nahi hai who’s dependable. I agree he’s not been performing for the last few matches but bro everyone can have ups and downs — there’s a time even the “run machine” Virat Kohli was not in form, so Rutu can definitely have an off time with the bat, it’s not a crime.
I wanted him to work on his captaincy skills, not just throw him out of it. Chalo maan liya this time MS will captain CSK, what about next year ? Someone has to take his place eventually right ? CSK management is bonkers they think their own stop solution is MAHENDRA SINGH DHONI — but unfortunately for them, he’s not getting any younger right ? The whole franchise is nuts ugh. 😤
