Ritu is arrogant soul, Teju was nibbi now playing mahaan card....how wrong is this ki she wanted Neil to hide the truth from Juhi just because woh uske gale na pad jaaye....
Neil was looking very wrong to me after what he did to Juhi and Teju but as promo released he is looking better to me....Juhi was the most dumb creature sab kharaab karke chali gayi, she is another Samrat.....smiley24
Leena is best of all, actually cringe....kaunsi maa apne bachche ka gala ateet ke panno mein ghotti hai....
I would like to go back to the title of S3 1st promo for the explanation about these obsessive lovers. Tejaswini is in a dilemma regarding her reality (Neil Pradhan) and her desire (Ruturaj Rane). Her experience after Mohit's death is also the same. She had expected to win over everyone in the Chavan family. However, reality hits when she is hated by all except her sisters. Later however, everyone including Laxmi accepts her, her desire winning. She is faced with the same dilemma as she marries Neil, this time her "khwaaish" being to continue her studies and support her family financially. Everyone knows that her aim to pursue her Masters will be achieved after a drawn out kalesh in the Pradhans' Zillat Arena. Again, desire gains the upper hand. So, will Teju's khwaaish always win against her haqiqat? Highly unlikely since she is a Sitara FL and the show's a Bengali remake.
Added to this, Dr. Pradhan was also juggling between his own reality of Juhi and not being able to speak up for himself, and the wish of marrying Tejaswini. The end result: his desire wins, and he finally marries to whom he wanted to. Only Ruturaj's fails in this entire mess, with the truth of his "love" becoming his Vahini. Anyhow, with his jealousy, his "khwaaish" of ruining Tejaswini's wedlock may(not) succeed.
Tejaswini looks into the mirror after marriage as Neil tries to tie the nuptial chain. The scene has 3 and then 4 mirror reflections of her, positioned as if 2 of those on the left are looking at the other 2 on the right. She is faced with who she is v/s who she wishes to be. Mirrors also blur the lines between truth (satya) and illusion (maya). Her reflection is little distorted as well, portraying duality and denial. This is a reminder of isolation, where Teju must face the previously hidden feelings. The reflected images are her companions in loneliness in the Pradhan Niwas.
Whenever Rekha speaks about Tejaswini and RR, we can see multiple mirrors in the background. Even as she recites poetry, these are seen whenever she utters the words "khwaaish" and "khwaab". This might be a metaphor for their narcissism. Rutu is self-obsessed and Teju has a high opinion about herself. She thinks that she doesn't deserve a simple-looking, ordinary man like her now-husband. This repeated usage throughout can suggest both characters being trapped in their vanity. As Neil tries to strike a conversation with Tejaswini who is coming down the stairs, there is a mirror behind them, just opposite Rutu with his reflection, indicating that even if Neil pursues Tejaswini, Ruturaj's shadow will always loom over them. All scenes with the latter have dimmed lighting, be it the concert shot or the confession. The break up is shown in a brighter light and more open atmosphere, and the promo continues in the same lighting showing Neil in a golden lamp glow. Perhaps, brightness in Tejaswini's life? But then she didn't consent to this.
Also Mr. Gynaecologist is wearing a dark blue shirt which is also the colour of Aparajita flowers, highlighting his full acceptance (read obsession, reverse uno of mere rang mein rangne wali) of his life partner.
Another significant aspect was Rekha's recitation of the Urdu ghazal and the show's title card. In the opening scene, Rekha narrates the first line of Mirza Ghalib's poetry:
"Hazaaron khwaaishein aisi ki har khwaaish pe dum nikle," but she stops at that. The next line of the poem is:
"Bahut nikle mere armaan lekin phir bhi kam nikle."
The montage at the end also shows this entire couplet on Neil's side with a fresh rose (blossoming love). Initally, I felt it's talking about Tejaswini's thought process. However, now I think those lines have more to do with Neil. He is blindly in love with his now-wife that he agrees to the marriage even after her repeated rejections, showing his "hazaaron khwaaishein". "Har khwaaish pe dum nikle" was a reference to his unending want of her love even after those insults. He will have fry loads of papad to win over her, draining his life. Ghalib expresses that even though he achieved numerous things he longed for, those didn’t bring the satisfaction he expected; saying "lekin ... nikle". Neil is also going to have the same feeling after overhearing his wife and brother's conversation. Even after winning Tejaswini's hand, he has not been successful in winning her heart.
Alongside RR on the montage, the next stanza of the same shayari is written:
"Nikalna khuld se aadam ka sunte aaye the magar,
Bahut beabroo hokar tere kooche se hum nikle."
And a withering rose signalling dying love. These lines are for the person who believes that rejection exists in this world (Nikalna ... sunte aaye the) for everyone but him since no one had ever denied him. When Tejaswini refuses his further advances, he is in disbelief. As we see his reactions afterwards, he feels humiliated and thus, "bahut beabroo". This is even showed in the episode where he arrives at the Chavans' home for one of Juhi's pre-wedding functions but doesn't enter the house and leaves the street without seeing or meeting Tejaswini, lost in thoughts of frustration and shame.
The promo ends with the words "uski zindagi ban gayi hai ek aazmaish", and that test is where everything actually starts, the current point of the story. Although we don't know whether the makers thought about all this while shooting.
P. S. Sorry for such a long post.
