I think you’re right , because the second book was such a filler , nothing major happened after mating in first chapter except for Ml’s transition and few ferals coming closeOriginally posted by: itsShonali
That's why it is fantasy
@BOLD - I don't think that the twist is what you think it is as the sub-plot I am talking about spans over the entire series. 😏
I believe that is why most people continued reading the series because insta love for so many novels
so the author added this plot, revealing some secrets and twists in every novel so that readers will be intrigued about who is this bad guy and why all the powerful people seem to be gathering around Meryn.

. They just left few hints here and there to keep people guessing
Shonali, did you buy all the books you read? Or did you read downloaded e-books (pdf format/e-pub format)? I mean if you buy all the books it will you cost you a lot of money. Please don't mind that I'm asking this question. I'm only a little curious.

I didn't buy them, I downloaded them in epub format
I never actually bought any of the novels that I read, it's either the library or the epub file

Oh okay
It makes sense because you read a lot. Are the page counts of those e-pub files (the books you read for April's reading challenge) and Kindle edition's page counts same? I'm currently reading a thriller written by Sidney Sheldon in pdf format. And the page count of that e-book/pdf is very different from Kindle edition's page count. Still I'll write Kindle's page count because that's what Lizzie told me to do.

@bold - Nah! There is some difference between the page counts but that's mainly because of the formatting difference, things like line space, margins, font choice, and font size etc. That Kindle edition page count is the print length like how would an actual book with varying formatting, additional insert pages that a physical book might have but an ebook doesn't.
Moreover, these are two different formats, a physical book will have the fixed amount of pages - same for everyone. But an ebook or a pdf file is flexible, the page numbers can vary depending on the device you are using, the screen size, the font that the ebook has etc.

I wrote the Kindle edition pages. Having the same standard would make it easy to assess everybody's reading progress accurately.
