Their treatment of whole track is so lack luster. Like I feared yesterday- Vikrant is like ‘Shalini doesn’t want to complaint, so let it he’ . It leaves bad taste!

Too much focus on Shalini’s choice- How come hes not concerned about rapi*t being on loose? what if it happens again? And Mezbani is operating as if all is good under the hood.

Mannat is back to work? Are they not concerned about her saftey?

Dialogues bhi straight late 90s and early 2000 ke hae. Ladki ki choice ye wo, YES WE ALL KNOW, but this happens repeatedly as Culprits are let go, show some sever punishment, strong dialogues in that direction instead of typical samajh kya kahega, ladki ki galti hae, soch badlo- no solution is, give harshest Punishment the culprit.

this is progressing worse than lost in the sense we see most gruesome crimes brushed under the carpet. Yes may be Bobby will h punished but what ARS is doing is worse, she gets out every damn time!

I am watching Katha and in ep i recently watched, Ehsaan used a nice term for leads- ‘Toxic positivity’- that correctly describes ITV leads. They start strong and righteous and then take u turn and justify or ‘find’ innovative ways to deal with household crimes in name of saving family reputation.

Totally agree with you. The business as usual was kinda crass. Though with Mezbaani in the news for SA, doubt anyone with come to eat there.

They should have shown Vikrant arranging for security guards, CCTV all around the restaurant etc.

But Mannat is again your regular commercial drama so expecting logic, sense, rationality is like khud ka khoon jalana

i had seen Katha sleeping with Vihaan episode n then never watched Katha though he supposedly was redeemed well.

I loved the episode... and while I was skeptical on this track initially... it is going good so far...

Today's episode was a lesson in perspectives and morality!!!

Mannat is adamant on helping Shalini even if Shalini herself is not ready to file a case... this is how selfless some individuals are and they do not care if their personal lives are at stake or if they getting something out of it!! they just do it because its right...

Vikrant was trying to be the sensible, calm guy in making Mannat see Shalini's perspective... that probably she doesnt want to relive the trauma and wants to forget it as soon as possible!!!

Mannat counters that such traumas should be healed and never just treated!!! Her outburst and frustrations are heartbreaking as probably every female viewer has been through this in varying degrees at some point of time!!!

Vikrant resigns to supporting Mannat in whatever way he can...

Aigiri Nandini while Mannat is walking ahead and receives Mata rani's blessings is just smiley27smiley27smiley27

ARS manipulates Shalini in hospital and offers her money... blackmailing her with the disrepute and how it will impact her brother. Shalini agrees to stay quiet but is remorseful for her treatment of Mannat.

ARSs ulterior motive apart from protecting mezbani is protecting herself... as Shalini knows many of her deeds.

ARS surprised me a little bit today.... While she is hell bent on hiding Bobbys truth, she herself is livid at him... hits him, screams at him, calls him name... sadly her motives are selfish... a contrast to Mannat... so while ARS doesnt at all like what Bobby did... she will hide it for her own selfish reasons... early on ARS remarks for Mannat that our bloods may match but our intelligence wont... thats true... only that its emotional IQ at this point... ARS doesnt have high morals that Mannat has...

Bobby is unfazed and doesnt have an ounce of guilt.... Raveena on the other hand does show some guilt ...

Bobby remarks that this thappad that ARS gave him... bhaari padega.... I wonder now if his next target will be Malla instead of Mannat... in order to teach a lesson to ARS.smiley13

Did Derek and Laksh change names??? anyway... tall guy informs media and they reach the restaurant.

At home Salujas and Raisinghs are peacefully eating breakfast when everyone starts noticing the panicky behaviour of younger Saluja couple... Keerat Neetu taunt them when Raveena tells them they are planning to go back to London. Neetu notices the slap marks on Bobbys face as well.

at the restaurant... media starts attacking and Mannat very smartly turns the table on ARS. Tells everyone that mezbani should not be blamed... the perpetrator will be caught and mezbani owners are supporting the victim and cooperating with police. ARS has to fall in line. Vikrant is looking at both the ladies.

In between Mannat saves Vik from a mud ball and tells him she will not let anyone put any blame on him...

Breakfast people watch the live telecast and Dadu remarks about what would happen to mezbani. understandably Neetu is worried when Malla tells him ARS coached Mannat but she is adamant on telling the truth. Neetu is as expected (but not revealed) didnt like Mannat doing anything that will spoil Vikrants dream.

Just me or Gagan looked like he was perplexed at Malla and also questioning ARSs ploy to keep it secret?

In the last scene, Vikrant is disturbed... he wipes the mud from the logo and worries if his fervent dream will survive? smiley19

The reason I liked todays episode is because each of the women character presented a perspective on that same situation based on their values, motives, societal pressures and the mindset with which they have grew up... all explained initially through Mannats outburst.

Raveena was submissive for all her bold avatar otherwise. too meek to be stuck with the leechad husband and supporting him.

ARS is angry and upset at Bobby ... but has her selfish motives and hands tied as her future depends on mezbani. Doesnt have the guts to let go of her comforts for the sake of truth

Shalini is in a different trauma.. she wants to fight but doesnt have the courage to do so... moreover ARS exactly told her what Mannat herself was talking about with Vikrant .... how the society will blame the woman rather than the man.

Malla is shallow, self centered and privileged enough to not understand Shalinis pain and empathize with her.

Neetu Keerat are on a different tangent entirely...

I hope this track gets a good resolution.... its high time such topics get the treatment they deserve.

Yes, they salvage him nicely associating his behavior to his past trauma followed by decent redemption.

Re-phrasing the statement, Vihaan manipulated her to sleep with him

In reality, Katha would have hated him throughout her life but since it's was a drama so obviously both had to fall in love.

But I liked the redemption arc, it was believable & did not have the usual iTV crap

Then you should watch the episode where he gets to know about why Katha needed that kind of money....

His guilt and frustration was so well done (as an actor).... but Kathas dialogues were the ones that were powerful.... she tells him she has no guilt (in societal context) for what she did.... but he had a choice.... he is feeling remorse now because she is a mother... what if she was just a woman who needed that money on loan for her own reasons and not for her sons illness ... will he have a guilt then?

His reasons were that his father had left his mom for another woman and his mom had fed him that all women are gold diggers.

Trust me... its really good.

Yes this track is lacklustre.., they have gone back to work as if nothing has happened

Mannat is in that same kitchen .. all the others are standing there too ..

and going hum drum work . Audience had a problem with lost that they milk the tragedy to extreme . Everyone weeping showing remorse , some showing anger , frustration, empathy or contempt but there was a myriad of human emotions.. they were not puppets .

Vikrant is not coming out well at all . Shalini was his employee .. she was his responsibility at the workplace .. This man lacks in Farz big time

He was helping out Mannat initially by chance then by his own interest and attraction towards her ..

This guy does not have an ounce of remorse or guilt that his female employee was assaulted at his workplace..

ARS is showing more anger and aggression.. she wants to save Mezbaani but she is affronted that Shalini has been attacked..

Playing the devil’s advocate here but I don’t understand how folks are fine with KA MLs redemption while shitting on how this track is being handled here. I’m not a fan of such tracks not just because it’s traumatic to watch but also because the sense of justice gets skewed based on the ckt. The fact is in both the tracks r*pe happened. Just because in the other show it was ML and he was given a redemption arc doesn’t mean he’s any less criminal than bobby here is. Ideally he should’ve been jailed too and it was probably the biggest disservice that FL ended up with him. Past bad experiences are not free pass to commit crimes and just because there was absence of physical coercion doesn’t mean that SA never happened. If tomorrow bobby is shown to be asking for forgiveness, we’d still be shitting on his ckt! Again not shitting on anyone’s decision of watching the other show but the above discussion had me wondering how our perceptions and sense of justice can be skewed d based on the ckts who’s committing those crimes!

No, i am not okay with it that's why I have added in my post that in reality whether it's Katha or any other woman, she would have hated Viaan through out her life. But from drama point of view the redemption arc they had added was somewhat believe able. The plot was not some random nonsense like we see in star plus or other channels.
