But since she has started working in bigger banners now and finally working with a director like Vishal Bhardwaj, something great is gonna happen. Vishal has the reputation of bringing the best out of the actors.

She became victim of nepotism. So she did roles that would make her popular.

I also hope that she gets more scope for showing her acting talent...and Shahid already had done good work with the director

Only with Omkara and his favourite tabu. Otherwise he mostly loves his heroes. Shraddha failed, anushka also sucked. That film with sanya and radhika also didn't do much. Alia got an FF cos , you know.

Hope it is a well written role otherwise vb and Shahid are too tight with each other to let her shine.

dismissing her pre-Animal work just because it wasn’t a theatrical blockbuster is so, so shortsighted.

Even Kangana got enough limelight in Rangoon despite Shahid and Saif being part of it. So it's kinda black and white to say that Tripti might be overshadowed just close VB and Shahid are too tight with each other. Sometimes even flowerpot roles can help, look at Kiara how even such a small role in Kabir Singh helped her to become a well-known actress afterwards. Then Tripti somewhat became a sensation after her small role in Animal. Tripti need to continue choosing versatile scripts.

@Minty- I don't really think Tripti's past performances are ever dismissed by the industry. In fact, wherever she has reached now is all coz of the works that she has done in the beginning of her career. Even Shahid is still relevant till date despite a few hits are coz of his performances and critical acclamations. These things also matter in B-town.

When Tabu and PC were there, the industry wasn't obsessed with launching nepo kids. Although we had Kareena and Shahid etc, it wasn't an influx.

Right now, everyone is so busy focusing on their connections that they haven't got the time to focus on talent.

In today's day, it's not just about box office. it's also about how much you are seen and if xyz are continously in the movies despite not being good enough then the audience in general become sensitised to seeing them. Whereas people like Tripti disappear if they fail with the limited chances they get. Believe it or not, the influx of nepotism is ruining the industry.
