I expected this ending for Nadaan. But the pleasant surprise was that it had a happy ending, although it was a serious show. Here I didn't expect it to be this dark. I just watched 2 episodes. I am glad I quit after that .

I think that's what has been upsetting for many, coz though the issues in the show were all very serious, but the show itself had a light hearted feel to it. And coz of that I too expected it to have a happy ending.

But like I said, the ending has caught ppl's attention and ppl r talking about the barbarity of mobile lynching and how sensesessly it robs ppl of their lives/ lives of their loved ones.

Sehar villain thi us drame me, aur wo drama mene bhi nahi dekha. Par is last episode ki unexpected ending ki wajah se views actually increase hue hai kam nahi hue.

I think the writer always intended it to unfold this way. The first two series, MJ and Nadaan, had a serious tone from the start, leading everyone to expect a tragic ending, but both concluded on a positive note. This time, however, the story was lighter, and people didn’t expect it to end tragically. There’s a reason TMNON was the final series among the three short stories. The writer wanted to illustrate the impact of mob lynching and its aftermath, and that had to be conveyed at the end of the third series.
