In understand what you mean. Madhavan is actually in his 50s, and it is definetly ageism

But I don't think Dia is playing a typical "mother" role in this, like Reema Lagoo, Farida Jalal, Himani Shivpuri etc used to play in the 90s.

The silver lining is that Dia is not being "de-glamorized" or forced to look older than real age, and play mother to actors who are actually older than her, which was often the case earlier,

(E.g. Shefali Shah played Akshay's mother and Amitabh Bacchan's wife in Waqt (2005).)

Jugal Hansraj and Dia Mirza could have done a movie together when they were young. Both of them are good looking.

@ Bold: OMG yes! That always pinched me so hard! She was a natural at the role, but still...and then she kind of got typecast in those types of roles!
