Yes there is ageism in the industry and I dont agree with it, older actresses should also be able to play leading ladies

And as someone mentioned, she played Varun's mom in Kalank.

That's because you have a "fixed image" of how parents are supposed to look.

It is becoming more and more common for people in their 40s and 50s with adult kids to look younger than age, at least in metropolitan cities. And it's a whole different story when it comes to glamour industry

Even TV actors like Urvashi Dholakia, Shweta Tiwari etc have children who're adults now, and they look quite good for their age. I understand they had kids relatively early but even considering that, they look younger for their age.

And anyways, Ibrahim and Khushi are most likely playing late teens or young-adults (20-21 year olds) in the film.

I think Mahima and Jugal are perfect here.
