She is but I don't think she was part of this show. She didn't promote it. I don't think Haseeb and her got along. You can ask the team members that you know , who did the editing, they might give us better answer.

Hope so! Their pair just didn't work for me.

SMD is Maya's show. This is Sadaf's story. She is the pov character. She has the most screen space. All characters revolve around her, and their plots serve only to advance Sadaf's arc. Bilal's backstory and trauma are not explored beyond a plot device to make Sadaf think Bilal is a bad guy because exploring it is not related to Sadaf's arc. Bilal's career as a hotelier gets no attention because it doesn't advance Sadaf's arc. All his professional decisions are only related to Sadaf. He has no friends, no family. Even his conversations with Humsha are about Sadaf. 40% of Wahaj's scenes are filler, where he only sulks, broods, and cries as the BGM plays. I'm 100% sure they are added by Haseeb and not in the script. No equal male lead is written like that because he is secondary to Sadaf.

Look at the way the story is structured. Sadaf is primary throughout, but every few episodes, another 1-2 character steps up as her co-primary.

Producers ki himmat hai toh they should sell it in Maya's name. Wahaj, Usama and Hira are equal characters here in the ensemble. This is an ensemble led by Maya (not Wahaj, not Wahaj and Maya).

Wahaj should refresh his concept of what it means to be a Main Protagonist in a narrative. Misleading promotions, beauty shots, ramp walks, hero entry, 40% filler scenes where you only sulk & brood to the BGM won't make you a main protagonist if the writer has intended another cktr in that role.

If Wahaj is intent on killing his career as a male lead and is dead set on being mardon ka Azeekah Daniels, he should at least choose to play second fiddle in shows like DNUTN and 22 Qadam instead of playing second fiddle in shows like SMD. Although Wahaj's wasn't the pov character & had less ss in DNUTN and especially 22 Qadam, he still had an arc, subplots and relationships of his own which were not there to only advance the FL's arc, a multi-dimensional personality, and no random filler scenes and beauty shots. Which is more than what I can say for Bilal Abdullah in SMD.

Somebody made an excellent thread on X on Junaid's arc and it was really eye-opening to read how much more textured and fuller that character was compared to Bilal Abdullah. He probably had even more ss than Bilal Abdullah (once you take out the filler scenes).

Marketing is lies is what I mean. This is not a romance or love story as written in the script. The Ammar-Sadaf, Ammar-Sadaf-Humsha dynamics are as important to Sadaf's arc as the Bilal-Sadaf dynamic. That is why they have so much space. KRQ has bad regressive ideas but he knows what writing is. If he wanted to write a love story, then you would have gotten love ka build-up and progression, but he was never writing a love story that marketing is selling. In Mannjali, Mikaal and Mehwish were more important cktrs, not Faris who played the pure selfless lover that Mehwish finally ends up with. Agar Bilalki jagah koi aur actor hota jaise Junaid Khan ya Sami Khan and there were no filler beauty shots of Bilal A, no viewer would have been confused that Bilal is main character or if they will get chemistry or romance.

She was very distant from the project after Wahaj's birthday last yer. Wasn't at the shaadi set or Faisalabad. Just see how much she posts about Humraaz. The video of her birthday celebration from Dayan set. How much she posts with Neelam. Given SMD was their mega show, she didn't post about it beyond bare minimum. and not how she is with TB, Humraaz, Dayan, etc. Maybe Haseeb ne Marie baji ko doodh se makkhi ki tarah nikal phainka hoga.

Do the actors even take an honest feedback? I mean every reviewer/ fans have pointed out the flaws. What the audience want is Wahaj, do the producers not hear us? Are they just blind that fans will watch whatever they show us. I hope the message goes to him, he is literally drowning his own career by doing side roles. I'm not even looking forward to his next show knowing his script choice is terrible. I only have hope from TB2 whenever that comes.

In this industry, people will only chew you and spit you out and dispose you off like used tissue paper if you don't benefit them anymore. Yahan sirf chadhte suraj ko salam hai. It is up to the actor themselves to protect their brand, make sure unka suraj agle din dhal nahi jaaye, and to not get used in a way which hurts their brand equity in the long-run. Matlab pehle you play second fiddle in a Maya-led drama magar drama flop hone ka khasaara bhi khud bhugto. If you don't look out and protect your own self-interest, no one else will.

True that! He needs to re think his choices, otherwise he will be left playing second lead. There is so much competition out there and better actors as well. I think Nadia was saying same thing to Maya in KDH, they need to step up their game and work on the acting.

I dunno. Too many chamchas and asslickers around actors that cocoon them from criticism or maybe actors don't care themselves. Clearly, Wahaj didn't get Mein's feedback or didn't care about it. Otherwise, he would never have chosen SMD. So, I don't know if he will get SMD's feedback or act on it. I hope someone tells him he is squandering social capital like this. Zahid used to be so big a few years ago but now no one even gets excited by his projects anymore because of back-to-back bad choices he made. Even Salman and Akshay with 25+ years of big hits have seen social capital decline by giving few back-tp-back bad projects. Tiger 3 didn't even get the buzz and excitement it should have because people were burnt by the likes of crap like Race 3, Radhe, KKBKKJ,
