What if Arnav had not released the fashion show tapes?

What if Khushi had adamantly refused to come to Shantivan and teach Lavanya?

What if Arnav had heard the full conversation between Shyam and Khushi in the fateful terrace scene?

We have all had these moments multiple times over the show.... wondering about the alternative plots that could have happened instead of what was actually shown

These wandering thoughts were probably what prompted us to come to this forum, read uncountable FFs, and yet... there's still that little itch that needs to be scratched

Here is the solution!

Welcome to the Kahani Mein Twist thread where we will pick scenes / dialogs from the show and write our own version of it.

The writing doesn't need to be sophisticated or professional, this is not an FF! All IPK fans are welcomed to give their opinion in any language. From a simple sentence to a paragraph or more, write as much or as little as you wish... and explore the world of alternate plotlines!

RULES :

1. Pick a particular scene / dialog to begin with... and stick to the track mentioned for the thread. All tracks will be covered one after the other so you can keep your other ideas for later.
2. You are allowed to continue others plots further, but make sure you Quote / Tag / Give Credit to the original contributor.

NOTE: The above rule is even more applicable to any FF writers who pick up prompt ideas from here - please give credit to the original suggester!

What if Arnav had not stopped Khushi from leaving after the fiasco at the fashion show?

I will start with prompt one/scene one with my own twist. I mean Khushi was let out without Arnav pulling her dori or without even meeting her again after the initial trip, fall, catch routine at the stage.

The rudeness at that point and breaking dori were unnecessary in my opinion.

Arnav can still go to Darga and Khushi can still tell him off for not believing in god. To prove her that he can do whatever he wants and to prove that no one can stop him, he can still get the footage released.

By the time Khushi got home, Payal's rishta can still break because, Abhishek's mother put forward new demands and Shashi could not give any assurance for arranging money to fulfill the new demands on the spot.

If I am not wrong, Shashi has already sold the house for wedding expenses and mortgaged the shop to fulfill old demands. I think Payal did mention that her future mother in law asked for more gifts for her son at the wedding.

Back to the twist:

Arnav asked the body guards to lock Khushi in a room. I did not understand what he did afterwards. Did he let the show finish as if nothing has happened, thanked the guests and then barged into the room where Khushi was locked to question her?

Did he not do any checks with the security to find how Khushi entered the back stage? Did he not cross check with the stage manager to find out what happened there?

You guessed it right. I am using the stage manager from my OS.

So the twist I wanted to add is,

While Arnav is busy with the formalities, his man Friday Aman ran to the backstage to make enquiries.

It turned out, the stage manager has received a message from the show stopper who had an emergency and she requested the stand in show stopper to replace her and the stand in show stopper would be arriving at the venue any minute.

As soon as he finished reading the message, he found a fidgeting Khushi at the entrance who was blabbering something like, she needs to meet the groom, she needs to go home for the wedding etc,. The manager did not pay any attention as the time for the show stopper to enter the stage was fast approaching. In the commotion, he did not even realise Khushi's outfit colours are not in line with the show colours. He saw a beautiful and a well dressed Khushi at the door and simply assumed she was the replacement show stopper and nervous because of the sudden change.

When Arnav was walking towards the room where Khushi was locked, Aman intercepted him and relayed what he found from the back stage personnel. Arnav has no choice but to let Khushi go.

@Red Hmm... you're right. I was kinda thinking that Payal's wedding would have happened if Khushi reached back on time... if it was stopped, the reason could be Payal herself... after all, she was quite upstanding and fierce back then. But I guess the more practical reason would simply be the fact that they wouldn't be able to fulfill the new dowry demands anyway.

@Green I was wondering why this sounded familiar... then you said it's from your OS and it clicked .

Oh wow! If your twist means we get to actually see Aman, I'm all for it .

I wonder if the Dargah scene would have happened exactly the way it did if Arnav had not been rude to Khushi after the fashion show...? Khushi might be firm in her beliefs about god, but I don't think she would start preaching to others randomly. There's probably a part of her that wanted to get back at Arnav after the harassment she faced at his hands, and them being in a public place might have emboldened her. If she barely even remembered him, she would have simply thought he's a weird guy or that the key does not belong to him when he said "Phenk do". Just a thought...

They looked at each other right in their eyes for few seconds. The attraction was palpable. I am sure, the moment has been etched in their heads and I am also sure, they would have remembered the person and the scene for the rest of their lives even if they remained sworn enemies.

Khushi wasn't at fault and was humiliated by Arnav in front of the models, guests and media people. Arnav let the security guards drag her and lock her up. On top of that she thought he was the reason for Payal's broken wedding. On a side note, she would have reached home late anyway without Arnav delaying it any further. She wasted lot of time in looking for Abhishek, didn't she? And then she was given a quick make over and sent to the stage.

They would have been good enough reasons for her to try to get back at him at Darga. She definitely noticed the person who dropped the mannat ki chaabi, but did not realise it was Arnav until she came face to face with him. Khushi is not that kind of person who thinks something is weird and leaves it at that. Especially when it is related to traditions and beliefs.

When Arnav let her go in the show, he also let the allegation go. That is why he wasn't furious when he first saw her at Darga. He only got angry, when she made him wait after stopping him. He was already not in a good mood because he was forced to go to the Darga. The displeasure was clearly shown on his face throughout the drive and at the Darga. He even calmly explained his stance on god. Khushi was the one who went on and on about the matter, which made him furious and he took the decision to release the tape at that point.

I agree, they both remembered the Dori scene, but, Khushi never brought it up nor fight against it. Arnav showed a glimpse of remorse when he remembered that incident.

Aman discovering the real reason for her presence on the stage makes more sense, as she was handed over her dupatta, property papers and runners when she was allowed to go.

@Green Honestly, I just thought her stuff was dumped in some corner during the chaos and she found it afterwards . But what you're saying is equally plausible .
