He doesn’t have to do unnecessary things to stay relevant but needs to do the necessary thing. For example questioning Avinash about nominating him. It was such a chance for him to put his pov and defend himself. The angle was benefiting him and giving screen space to him so even if he continued that why does Avinash have a problem with it? He could have asked this question.

Coming to dignity, if the contestant avoids any conflict of course he keeps his dignity. I personally will say it if in the intense argument also he didn’t cross the line and kept his dignity but Vivian never had an argument to that intensity. And when Chahat took his coffee he called it disgusting. Because he considered it as issue that someone took his coffee but he didn’t even try to give his pov and question Avinash on nomination.
