Please ignore it. In an episode of late 90s, Daya had Brother and Sister in law but after some years later, it is shown that he was grown up in an orphanage. It is the silly works of Story writers.

My theory was that Daya's parents had died when they were still young, so all the siblings Daya, his brother and sister were raised in orphanage.

But Pete said even that's not possible as Daya was said to be all alone with no family

P.S. DIG(I don't think they ever mentioned his name he was always called DIG sahab/sir then) was in 2004 I think. It was during the time of Daksh and when Rajeev Khandelwal had come as ACP for few episodes.

By the way does anyone remember what had happened to Daksh?? Was he evil/traitor or was just misled by opposite side while he was searching for his brother?

She has been shown multiple times.

First when her parents died, Abhijeet wanted to adopt her, but her uncle said that they are there for her so she started staying with her extended family. Many years later then they'll got her back into the episode where Shreya's uncle became evil. Abhijeet this time decided to adopt her. In 2014 I think. Now they have got her again.. hopefully they don't do it every episode.

Family and personal life wise Abhijeet has been most explored. IMO while all three are the leads, but Abhijeet is the most important among the trio

They should mention Freddy at least once. Could be like he died in a mission or else he got transferred as a senior officer in some other unit

He spent half of his life in CID. He deserves a tribute.

When Aditi died, she got a very big funeral scene. Although she had spent only a few months in CID.

Speaking about DCP, he was introduced first in the episode FACE OFF (The same episode in which ACP shot his subordinate Daksh) as DIG Shamsher Chitrole. Earlier the role of DCP was done by the Actor Surendra Pal, but after arrival of DIG Shamsher Chitrole, he introduced ACP Prithviraj to replace Pradhyuman as the latter was considered as a traitor. In the episode when Chitrole carried out the investigation, then DCP was standing silent as Chitrole is senior.

It was later exposed by the investigation that Daksh was the real traitor and he was helping Nakul in his unlawful activities and before joining CID Daksh was working in London and not in USA. Nakul joined CID to find out his brother's murderers, but in a later episode, it was revealed that his brother is not dead but became paralysed due to drug consumption (If my memory is right as I watched this episode several years back)
