If we watch yesterday’s episode . as a normal audience and not Wahaj fan then it was quite ok. All of you might disagree but I found Sadaf’s reactions genuine. The word hospital sent her into panic mode for obvious reason. She was worried sick. Her visible relief to learn that Ammar is okay. She was quick to point out thaa as t Humshaa was instigating her since morning. But later she understood that he is lying. Now she is not interested. And quite angry.

I can’t figure out if Bilal knew something about Ammar or he was just in a strict business mode. Did Zaviyaar tell him something? What does he even know to tell though? Bilal was not friendly at all with Ammar. Whatever the reason, I love this attitude with Ammar…he needs to keep it going.

SMD is a big lesson in how insincere storytelling always fails.

Instead of sincerely telling the story that was in the script, the makers were more interested in marketing it is as a love story, one which is from the pov of Bilal Abdullah. Wahaj ko BA lene se, filler scenes daalne se, hero entry or power walks dikhane se story ML-centric nahi hoti. Na hi ost, bts or ps main romance or chemistry dikhane se drama love story banta hai. Actors also come and deliver specific scenes but their characterization is completely inconsistent. Not just writing but their performance fails to carry the emotional arc from one scene / episode to next. Same goes for director. Producers wanted to cash Wahaj post-TB and thought itni badi cast, mehnga budget, bade frames or jhooti marketing will be sufficient to give them blockbuster ratings and views. Upar se le kar neeche tak this show reeks of insincerity to storytelling.

I genuinely feel that in the hands of makers who understood what the story is all about this could have been a decent show. It should have been an ensemble show with 5 flawed characters and their intersecting lives and their different approaches to love. It could have been done as a contemporary take on how messy love can be and how traumas, insecurities, prejudices, jealousy, obsession, etc. shapes (positively or negatively) your love. For BA, his theme would have been childhood trauma; for Humsha, her theme would have been jealousy; for Sadaf, prejudice and perception; for Dania obsession; and for Ammar, it's insecurity.

I think krq took revenge on geo silently by giving shittiest script to them for banning him for three years. Makers are responsible especially content team of geo for making this signature project. Geo should have given wahaj some project with maximum screenspace and make it as signature project. They behaved as if they don’t have any other project except this.

If KRQ gave them a shitty script, who put a gun to Kaddu's head to make it or to Wahaj's head to accept a role in it. Everyone was interested in cashing Wahaj's post-TB hype quickly and thought badi cast or bada paisa bada writer or bade director le kar kuch bhi shit show bana do woh blockbuster hoga. No one cared about storytelling. No one bothered to understand the story they have or execute it in a way that best serviced the story. Jab neeyat sahih na ho toh yahi hota hai.
