Rude and lewd behaviour of (young) men with two much time at hand (unemployed? no schooling?) and being in a group isn't dependant on movies in general, but in India, movies (and movie 'heroes') have another position in daily life than in other countries, especially with a social system that favours a toxic kind of manliness.

Bidoo movies are to some extent a reflection of society.
Lukhe lafange do not stand on corners and catcall girls because movies ‘inspired’ them to do so. It is actually the movie writers, who base their characters on these real life lafangas!

Cinema can be all kinds - inspiring, funny, romantic, steamy,… you name it. There exists a space in moviedom for dark characters that do morally questionable antics, and The Vanga’s cinema is exactly in that space. His movies are character studies of dark flawed male protagonists. They’re made to entertain, NOT inspire. If it’s not your cup of tea just ignore his cinema and watch what you wanna watch man. Don’t worry about the Indian males - you don’t have to babysit all of us.
