Dinesh Phadnis (2 November 1966 – 5 December 2023) was an actor. His most well-known work was playing the character of Inspector Fredericks in one of the most famous TV Series CID.

He was so young at that time. During the initial episodes of CID, Freddy had no moustache and he was called as Michael. In the movie Sarfarosh, Mr.Dinesh Phadnis had no moustache and his role was of a Police Officer who get killed on duty.
