A great day for Indian cricket. The Test match went as planned - big runs and then early punches landed. Now the IPL auction takes centre stage.

172/0 was a great place to start the day. KL missed out on a deserved hundred but Jaiswal cashed in. DDP looked okayish but got out fell first ball after lunch.

Virat Kohli walked in very brisk. Said something to Jaiswal who was waiting to join him at the crease and then played sensibly to start with.

Jaiswal missed a double hundred as he smashed one to point. It wasn't exactly easy batting because the pitch was playing a bit up and down as the day wore on.

India lost 46/4 at one point but Washi got glued with Virat and then Nitish came out swinging hard. Virat upped his gears and eventually got the hundred that was eluding him for a while. Expectedly India declared immediately and Australia's worst fears came true - of losing early wickets to a fresh and fiery Jasprit Bumrah.

McSweeney and Marnus both got trapped with some mischief from the pitch, while nightwatchman Cummins was taken care of by Siraj.

Result is certain now, and it is pro in this situation!!
