And both were silently sipping their teas…Maan patiently waited for her to initiate now…She finished her Tea after mints he did…and sighed…gathered words in her head and looked at him…

Geet:- You must be a nice guy…Am feeling unlucky to say this…But, I want you to say no to this alliance (Seeing him sighing smilingly she added)….Plz don’t misunderstand me….just… am not ready for the marriage …

Maan: I don’t intend to get personal with you, but do you like someone??? I mean, I really want to know the reason apart from you being not ready for the marriage…Sorry but that's an inappropriate reason… I mean, am curious…

Geet: what???

Maan: Just right now, I saw your painfully sad face when you said coincidence …Just, like you already are regretting rejecting me….Then why rejecting???

Geet: Ahh!!! Its really nothing... Just… (she shrugged, not having courage to either tell him truth nor lying) Just like that…

Maan: You love someone???

Geet: No…

An instant no made him more curious and now he tried to read her face…Being in business world he knew face reading…when ppl were lying…when were genuine…

Maan: Then???

Geet:(now was losing patience) Can’t you just reject me???

Maan: I can… But, my heart doesn’t want to…There’s something not right with you…What is that??? Tell me, I might be of any help….

Geet(fidgeted her dupata before finally mustering courage to face him): Vicky… (She uttered the name and looked around a bit conscious of their surroundings and then whispered leaning to his side of the table) There’s a guy stalking me…Everywhere from 2yrs now…He doesn’t show up….He just makes sure that I know that he is stalking me… He calls me…and tells me what not to do and I have to do what he says ….Coz if I won’t …He could harm any of my family members… It has happened with all 3 of them…Mom Dad…and Raji…They had been to many coincidental accidents… but i know all were his plans…Before you, I rejected 2 boys…saying rubbish reasons… Coz he wanted me to say no..And i know he won't get me married to anyone else...

Maan: Why doesn’t he show up… If he likes you that much…

Geet: He’s a psychopath…He himself is not into marrying…He just doesn’t want me to get married… or in any relationship…He never harms me…He just…watches me…I don’t know how…when…where….He gets to know of my whereabts…and ppl visiting my house…Before Khurrana uncle called, he told me you were coming to see me and i know what I have to do…He must be near us today too…I don’t know abt hearing us but he sure is watching …and maybe feeling happy coz he know am here to reject you…

Maan(silently nodded after listening her reasons): So, you never are going to get married to anyone???

Geet(looked up at him): To be honest, I never liked those alliances….

Maan: What abt me…

Geet: You are a nice guy…Dad praises you lot… He really is impressed with your personality…hard work and achievement levels… at this young age…

Maan: What’s your opinion abt me??

Geet : I like you…

Maan: Forget abt that story you just shared….Do you wanna get married to me or not??

Geet: I can…not…

Maan: Can…no….Want or not??? Don’t you want to get settled, told you forget abt that guy…. Just look into my eyes and decide… you want to or not….????

Geet: I do….want to get married… to you…

Maan: That’s it…That’s my brave girl…. Am gonna say yes…and we are coming for roka tomorrow…

Geet(was startled): Wait…what…w…What are you saying…

Maan: you heard me… Leave everything on me…We are getting married… Let’s go then….

With that Maan stood from chair and helped a shocked startled stammering Geet to get up from her chair as well, talking on phone …

Vicky saw Geet as she was taking pheeras with Maan in her wedding dress….smiling nervously at him as the groom gave her reassuring smile…He tried targeting MSK when out of nowhere a few ppl came from sides and got hold of Vicky….took him to a nearby room and tied him up….texted Maan that the man was cornered…Maan smiled through the text and forwarded the phone for her to see…Geet smiled widely at him and took hold of his hands midst of the marriage blessings and they were happy…

Maan entered the room where Vicky was, with-now his wife Geet… Vicky was looking angrily at them both…Geet was schoked to see him…as it was her class fellow…

Geet: I can’t believe its you… you were the one stalking me from yrs. …why???

Vicky: Coz I love you so much …can’t see you getting married to someone else…

Maan: Then why didn’t you propose her properly..sent marriage proposal at her home???

Vicky: I couldn’t …Coz , then ppl would have known that am mentally challenged person…Also, (he hesitated and then said)I didn’t have anyone in my family…Her family would have rejected me there and then….

Maan: So you chose to stalk her… scare her… harmed her family…

Vicky: I just wanted her to do whatever I wanted… I wanted her to obey all my orders…my commands… Do whatever I say… But then you came… I thought she went to say no to this alliance and I was happy as you never met again…But, I didn’t know you were planning this big behind my knowledge… kudos to you MSK…You are a great planner… than me…But.... (He paused and gave a sly smile) I will not leave you… either you kill me or you are gonna get killed and outta her life once am free…

Maan(nodded sighing he informed): You never are gonna get free…Am sending you to mental asylum for your treatment…For your betterment…You really need the treatment...

Vicky: Huhh… I will not go away from Geet…She is not mine nor yours…I will kill her instead….

With that He tried to grab Geet’s hand…when Maan’s sharp grip came in between…and slapped him the next sec…Vicky was thrown on ground unconscious…

Maan(smirked): What a loser… He can’t even stand one slap..and saying he loves you…

Geet was astonished to even look at Maan as he grabbed her from shoulders and took her outta there… to live a peaceful life…

After 5 yrs…

Maaneet were sitting at the very same Tea house now with their toddler…when their toddler bumped into a stranger…seeing the person, Geet was standing from her chair leaving her Tea… when Maan grabbed her hand with a reassuring smile…Stranger hold the kid up in his arms and went to maaneet’s table… passing her to the mother …He gave maaneet a small smile…sitting with them as Maan gestured him to…

Maan: Here you are… (Geet looked at him with questioning eyes) He wanted to meet …

Vicky: Hi…

Maan: Hi Vicky… How are you….

Vicky: Am all fine now… Geet, I just wanted to meet you once…To apologize…before I moved to U.S….

Geet: U.S???

Vicky(smiled noticing she didn't believe him): Am all fine now, thanks to Maan Bhai… Am really grateful to you Bhai for paying for all my rehabilitation…expenses… and all…and now sponsoring me for my further studies in the U.S…. I requested Maan Bhai to let me meet you once so that I can apologize to you before I leave …Am really sorry…(To Geet’s silence he averted his gaze to their daughter) The girl looks just like mini Geet…

Geet(grabbed her daughter to herself): I forgive you…now, plz leave…

Maan stood and gave him a tight hug before parting… and Vicky left them bidding byes with a sad look on his face…. Geet gave Maan a look….

Maan: Geet he is all fine now… He is changed man…

Geet : I don’t believe you…

Maan: You needa trust your man Geet…He really has changed…the therapy really had its 100 percent results… He is aspiring to achieve something and that’s why I sponsored a course for him…

Geet: If really he has changed, then why don’t you get annie married to him???? (said sarcastically)

Maan: oh I would love to…But, he just called me Bhai…that means Annie would be his sister… How can a bro marry his sis…

He explained seriously and Geet looked at him rolling her eyes…and then after sometime… Both laughed…seeing her parents laughing… their daughter too laughed…resuming her ice cream…
