biggest insult is not jigra, biggest insult is farah getting deepika for om shanti om cos of her pretty faceand whats even worse she put tape on her mouth . do not utter a word.

so many talented outsiders lost out cos maybe not as pretty as deepika. this pol khuli during jigra and aloo bashing...damn thanks for aloo bashing, lageh haath pol khul gayaa. how i got hired!

Don't be nonsensical. She became a star overnight. Very few can do that with their debut. And if you hate Deepika so much, don't blame Farah Khan for casting her. Blame SRK. Farah Khan cast Deepika because she wanted to work with Aishwarya in Main Hoon Na. SRK forced Aish out of the film so Farah said that if she couldn't work with Aish, she wanted to work with an Aish lookalike, which was Deepika who was hailed as the next Aish of the industry.

I've said this before and I'll say it again because it cannot be said enough. Chhapaak is the Sadma of this generation. Sridevi's Sadma was a huge hit in the South when it was released there first. When it was remade in Hindi as Sadma, it was a gigantic flop. Hindi-speaking audiences had zero interest in watching this film and it languished for years. Now it's seen as a classic and one of the most daring roles for any actress to play.

Just like with Sadma, Hindi-speaking audiences failed Chhapaak. But it will be seen as a revolutionary role in the generations to come.

Sadma and Chhapaak are the literal embodiments of niche films. Not this Jigra which is as mainstream as you can get. And don't get me started on this offensive Lady Bachchan label. It was bad enough KJo put down previous generations of veteran actresses who were box office stars in their time by claiming his daughter was the first actress to have solo film hits. Now he's coming after Rekhaji when everyone knows that she was dubbed Lady Bachchan by the fans and media in the late 80s/early 90s. A title we the fans gave her, not PR.

She earned that title with films like Khoon Bhari Maang and Madam X. The latter being her own version of Big B's Don complete with a double role. She is the true Lady Bachchan and even had action scenes equivalent to him, throwing people around with flying kicks and punches.
