It was mostly the negative articles/blinds on Sushant, published by someone's PR. It was disgusting the kind of things they wrote about him. I can think of only one actor who is capable of this, the forever upcoming superstar.
But Sushant's account following Alia after his death, is so suspicious. Who did that? And why are they so scared?
Was it Ranbir or was it KJo? I always read online it was KJo but I guess at that point, this trio of Ranbir, Alia, and KJo were already fully united. What one did was meant for the good of all three to push Ranbir/Alia as a power couple by pushing everyone else out of the way. The same tactics that were repeated with Kartik afterwards when even the media noted that KJo was trying to treat him the same he treated Sushant.
I remember they posted really disgusting blinds about Sushant that he had sexually harassed someone. What's more ironic is that KJo himself did a movie, ADHM, where Ranbir repeatedly physically assaults and even sexually assaults Anushka's character, all in the name of love. More discussion on that here.

And while Kangana is not always the most truthful, she did make a claim that Ranbir came to her house and forced himself on her. That he wasn't used to being told no by any woman. The fact that he plays the same manchild type of character in every film and basically does what Kangana describes in ADHM to Anushka, makes me think it's not OOC for the real Ranbir to do this after a real life rejection.
People also noted that on KWK, Ranveer seemed to hint that Ranbir had a crush on Kangana. Ranbir blushes when Ranveer says that he would set up Ranbir on a date with Kangana. So is there an implication there that Ranbir had a thing for Kangana and he really did pursue her like she said? Because if Kangana's claim is true, that he forced himself on her, this just shows how depraved this trio is to make such claims about Sushant instead.

How can you compare Chhapaak with Sadma?
Chhapaak is such an average film. Sadma is a classic with one of the most heartwrenching climaxes.
I disagree. Chhapaak was a very hard film for me to watch. I wanted to walk away so many times because of the source material. I think Deepika truly shed her skin and every essence of stardom and glamour to become the character. I saw no traces of Deepika left in the movie. For all the crap she's given here about her diction, I felt in Chhapaak that she even sounded different like she had modulated her voice differently on purpose, to be less Deepika and more her character of Malti.
The film was hard-hitting and didn't hold back. It'll be perceived very differently in generations to come, provided the country actually embraces its complicity in misogyny, violence against women, and acid attacks, because until there's social change around that, audiences still won't accept this film. And with films like Animal regressing Hindi cinema back about 30 decades (something I noted in my comparisons to Damini and Yeh Zindagi Ka Safar), I have little hope that there will be any real progress in the country towards this issue of acid attacks.
