yes - and suddenly yesterday the naartive went from insaniyat zimmedhari to the new word - himmat..that and the comparison to Choton all of a sudden, so out of the blue it is.
Ani does not lack himmat, he lacks logic and core deduction skills. The way he attributes thoughts to actions, there is no way he is a software engineer. Logic is the basis of all software.

Actually, the himmat word is there for a purpose.. At this stage it would be obvious to anyone in the know of their situation to assume he lacks himmat or at least if Jhanak from her perspective thought he lacked it.
This entire scene of Minu- Jhanak convo about Choton in my view was there for a purposeโฆ itโs a sort of alter ego sceneโฆ where Jhanak is trying to tell Minu how she may have misunderstood Chotton, at the same time she is shown saying Ani lacks himmat.
The scene wasnโt a like for like comparison to their situation; it was a placement of an alter ego scene to indicate how perceptions have a role to play in relationships
Meekness or lack of himmat is usually seen as a negative thing but through the Chotton situation the writer perhaps wishes to give a varied perspective. Choton isnโt meek.. he just has a perception about life that he may not be a good partner for someone due to his inability to do well financially, due to which he takes a stand that was inscrutable to Minu. Minu on the other hand does not accord importance to the aspect of wealth in a partner and as an independent person finds this unacceptable that Choton rejected her for this reason so she calls him darpok. The scene yesterday sought to establish that while there may be general โrules of engagementโ for people when they look to be in a relationship but in loveโฆ what matters is how your partner perceives your strength or weakness. For Minu. Chotonโs not being successful isnโt an issue.. and Choton is unaware about this both hadnโt understood this about each other and so the distance grew.
Similarly Ani and Jhanak in their relationship havenโt gained understanding about what makes them tick or what are each otherโs insecuritiesโฆ so when Jhanak was talking about Aniโs himmatโฆ I am assuming she will get an idea of whatโs the himmat issue ( I am hoping)
( when something he has to talk against Jhanak
