Toshi is a good singer. But somehow he hasnt been able to give his best out in this series . He has performed just about OK, but never really has he given a performance that has stood out. There was always someone in the side doing better. Yet the same Toshi has given awesome perfromances before. His saturday performance was very very mediocre.

Between then and now , what changed?what has caused the deterioration?

He can sing only sufi songs. He was always weak when it comes to singing other songs.

I don't really know the reason. But he looks like he's under a lot of pressure. In VOI Toshi looked more at ease and confident. Maybe it's the level of competition 😕

Joke of the century!!!!!!!!

Yes agreed Toshi is the other one who has deteriorated after what he was in VOI. But then he was never too comfortable in all genre. Even in VOI he had faltered too many times when made to sing songs of say Kishore and all. He can never be called a vestatile singer. And now he is faltering even in the songs of his comfort level.

Improvement with time shows what to expect from these singers. Unless they do so they will go into oblivion soon and maybe we'll see them occasionally on some TV shows and all. Its now proved beyond doubt that singers like Abhijeet, Harshit, Debu, all have actually improved to the better rather than going downhill.

Bang on target. The level of competition is high as per his capability. In VOI with that attitude he could take off any song. Here he is now unable to as others are doing WAY better than him.

Toshi is a good singer when it comes to a certain genre of song. He is not fit for playback.

I was highly impressed by one of his song in Ustado ka Ustad.

I feel, somewhere in the way he went off-track, and he's now trying to get back on the lane....

We haven't yet seen the Toshi we're used to seeing (I know, I'm tired of hearing this phrase as well, but its the fact)... It'll be interesting to listen to Shaan's comments-- hopefully he'll be able to give him some tips to reduce his confusion and boost his confidence 😳

The thing is, he loves improvising-- and I admire him to actually have the guts to pull it off. Improvising can either sound remarkably good, or, as we saw on Saturday, it can make you fall flat on your face. But he's still willing to take the risk. It tells me he really wants originality, and he's not going to go down the same road everyone else is going. He wants to be original.😊

About genre, its not only Sufi songs he's good at. Okay, its his strongest point, but we've heard him sing straighter songs a few times on the older show, and I have to say, without any bias, that I loved those songs. He sounded really good, which changed my mind at that time, and led me to believe that he can be suited for playback, and that he can sing songs other than his forte really well.

i have never seen a singer that bad..

Now, this is called improvement.Abhijeet has really come a LONG way from what he was. In this show, he has been outstanding...in every genre consistently....

That shows his dedication and level of improvement. What happened before who cares, but now, he is unbeatable.....

Same with Harshit... his voice is NOT a regular common bathroom singers voice. His voice is perfectly suited for playback and he is another one who has imrpoved tremendously. He has been giving one great performance after another.... and mind you he came from the challenger side... he has been the most consistent challenger who has given every champion a run for their money...

Toshi on the other side... has faltered. Classical training or not... it holds no value when one cant excel from what he was before.

He really has to pull up his act.

Abhijeet Sawant hasn't come a LONG way, he is still where he was before.

Truly said King Anu, Abhijeet has not chosen any challenging song till now. He sounds humble and nice as a person but his singing is not that dhamakedaar.

Toshi on the other hand isn't doing very well but he is a damn good singer.

To each his own....Abhijeet has definitely come a long way and how IMO!!!! I was a huge Amit Sana fan during II1 days and supported Amit and Rahul over Abhijit those days but I have no qualms in saying how Amit Sana has deteriorated , compared to that what a marked improvement Abhijeet has made !!!!!!!

I completely agree with Vishal when he said to Abhijeet "is show mein aane se pahle mujhe pata nahi tha ki aap itne bahtareen singer ho" .....

It's good to be a fan but when ur fav deteriorates and start giving one weak performance after another there is nothing wrong in acknowledging it ...On the other hand it's wrong to put other singers down just because ur fav is not singing well !!!!!
