HOw about toshi singing jag soona lage, that was joke of the milenium. U said abhijeet only sing regular song, do u knw how hard to it sing Tadap tadap perfectly. Thats very hard. Just having good classical background is not enough. One need to utilize that training while performing.With his classical background also toshi faltered many times in songs which were in his comfort zone. U know what KK doesnt have much classical background but look where he is now in playback field.

What do u mean abhijeet can't convince people with little knowledge of music.? That mean Vishal shekhar doenst know music. If not then rahat fateh ali and sukhwinder would have never sung their song. Reality is abhijeet cant convince some people who are die hard fan of rival singer in the show.

In the matter of fact, that was the only performance where abhijeet technically cracked down and it wasnt even a competition! it was simply a performance and he was outstanding until that crack (it happened almost at the end). If u can correctly remember, he was dancing like mad in such a tough song. But he was indeed awesome, apart from the crack. He was a new star then, maybe it was his immaturity that he danced too much. otherwise he wudnt make that kind of silly mistake.

But Abhijeet has surely improved a lot these days. He has become more matured and more versatile.

Toshi's reality is that he can not sing a song without going from SUR. Maybe thats why he keeps doing unnecessary harqateins all the times to cover up his lack in sur and his breathing problem?!? oh my..oh my! never saw anyone that bad in this.

How can someone possibly call Toshi a good singer, when his low notes can be hardly heard? And high notes gets cracked most of the times? Coughing and very unclear voice. And a typed singer who cant even go on with his type ok-ly.

In the matter of classical singers, there are much more better classicaly trained singers than not only toshi but also the others in JJWS. But we hardly know their names. Singing isnt science that if u know all the rules u are the boss. It is something much more than that. It is RULES+CREATIVITY+INDIVIDUAL QUALITY that makes a singer great. Classical singing is the base of a singer so that he can sing any song at ease. Wats the point of being a classical singer so handicapped? Even Kishore Kumar was a mainstream singer. But that doesnt mean he cudnt go classical. And he is considered India's all time best.

Besides those present here in JJWS are classically well equipped apart from Ishmeet and Debojeet to some extent. And Abhijeet is very well trained in classical too now, otherwise he wudnt match Amey's (Even able to be any other's ustaad classically) performance. Somehow he beated even him there too by being flawless.

Sachin you hit the nail on the head.I totally agree with you on this point and he was hyped too much and because of the wild card in VOI for thosi so many good singers were out of competition.We all have our favourites but how come people are so blinded and do not admit the faults of the singer when they sing badly.Its like the republicans blindly supporting our George Bush😆 and the result ...we can se the American economy.People if u do not point out Thosis mistakes he will never improve.😕

We haven't yet seen the Toshi we're used to seeing (I know, I'm tired of hearing this phrase as well, but its the fact)... It'll be interesting to listen to Shaan's comments-- hopefully he'll be able to give him some tips to reduce his confusion and boost his confidence 😳

The thing is, he loves improvising-- and I admire him to actually have the guts to pull it off. Improvising can either sound remarkably good, or, as we saw on Saturday, it can make you fall flat on your face. But he's still willing to take the risk. It tells me he really wants originality, and he's not going to go down the same road everyone else is going. He wants to be original.😊

About genre, its not only Sufi songs he's good at. Okay, its his strongest point, but we've heard him sing straighter songs a few times on the older show, and I have to say, without any bias, that I loved those songs. He sounded really good, which changed my mind at that time, and led me to believe that he can be suited for playback, and that he can sing songs other than his forte really well.

To add to it all: Being an ardent Toshi fan since his VOI days, I have been waiting and hoping for him to bring his A game to JJWS since the beginning of the show, but sadly here I stand confessing that he's disappointed the fan in me and faltered big time..but I don't agree with those who say he was not outstanding in VOI..He gave some amazing performances in that show and was truly one of the very best there..

About Abhijeet -- Come on people, give credit where its due.. he has indeed improved by leaps and bounds since his II days..my original pick for II was Rahul Vaidya and only after his ouster I supported Abhijeet but always believed there had been others better than him in that competition but having witnessed Abhijeet's remarkable progress in JJWS, I have no reservations in acknowledging that he deserved the title more than anybody else..And if he wins this one too, it'll be well-deserved..

Abhijeet has definitely given more consistent performances than Toshi. But I think Toshi has a greater potential to do well. Toshi's best definitely surpasses Abhi's. It's a matter of what you prefer- consistent good performances or one brilliant one. This is a competition so Abhi might do well but as far as playback is concerned Toshi can do better in his particular genre.

i think its because of his accident..that hes not able to sing as well..remember in jag soona soona lage..shekhar said it would have been better if he breathed at the right places..??
i think hes not able to breathe as well and control his voice after wht happend..
