Purely on the relationship between Ar and Rohit, how is moving out a solution just couple of days after Rohit is back without giving it his all to mend one of the most valuable relation in his life. How would it be vastly different from Rohit who chose to run away rather than confront and resolve with his brother?

It is Kv bringing back Ruhi that is triggering the differences between the brothers that both Ar and Ab had realized at the time itself. Rohit has not clearly indicated to Ar or to anyone that he wants to give his marriage with Ruhi a serious chance and it is Ar's presence that is a roadblock. Audience at least know that even Ar moving out would not do much to break Ruhi's umeed considering that she is exactly where she was between the mandap fiasco and her coming back to PH.

Time and distance are always the best healers ..this is a fact ..the suggestion is not for Armaan to run away ..it is for him to openly express his deep regret and also the fact that he does not wish to cause Rohit hurt ..constantly being in his face is triggering him …so he respects that Rohit will need time and space to heal and he wants to give him that ..this is common decency …I don’t think that is such a big ask !

Rohit has not asked Ruhi to leave nor has he told Kaveri that he doesn’t want to give his marriage a chance ..so he is clearly ambivalent …let us not make this about Ruhi please …we all acknowledge that she is vile and delusional ..this is about two brothers and how time and distance could well help in saving their relationship ..! No one is giving Rohit time and his biggest gripe is with Armaan ..so it is on Armaan to give him that time

If I may intrude, I think even if it may not be a solution to their troubles, atleast an intent to leave in order to give Rohit some space after explicitly saying he's leaving because of this, is surely entirely different from what Rohit did.. As an addition, and more so primarily, Armaan needs to leave to protect his own self-respect atleast a tiny bit! He needs to tell KP and Rohit that he's always done everything only in the intention of prioritising the family's welfare and while he admits not all of his decisions have been right, he's not able to live with all the blame and abuse being hurled his way wrt his birth and blood. And given the present circumstances he feels it's in everyone's and particularly in Rohit's best interest to leave for a while to let things cool down. This doesn't mean he's breaking any ties.. or cutting any chords but he's just taking a time-out like Rohit would!!

Surely this cannot be hard! But the problem is in the name of trying to make up for his mistakes and some unfounded notion of family and love, he's willingly putting up with abuse and shame by these people.. what I don't get is how in god's name can so much vitriol just be forgotten if and whenever things get better

I don't necessarily agree that time and distance are always the biggest healers. Sometimes it just causes the distance to widen to a point of no come back especially if there are external factors trying actively to contribute to the same. Rohit had both distance and time with him, did it do him any good? Nope, instead it made him more bitter than when he left.
