It just goes on to prove the popularity and superiority of YHM all over again. Even after 10 years, it still inspires many shows. With IshRa, the concept of kid playing a cupid became popular and we saw an upsurge of similar concept in many ITV shows after it.Their dynamics as a nok jhok couple inspired a lot of other ITV couples as well. For example, the condom scene from yhm became so popular that a similar scene was used in two other shows. Even the recent TV shows like KHKT, YHC, MHRW which were praised for their "unique" content had scenes inspired directly from YHM.
And as far as Ghum is concerned, both the show and it's fans are a joke. These peeps are mostly teenagers so there's no need to take their rants seriously. It's funny that they couldn't find anything worth bashing in the initial episodes that they had to bring a scene from post leap to prove their point.
YHM maintained it's quality for close to 300 episodes. IshRa had a perfectly crafted love story from parents to friends to lovers. A lot of people unfairly say that YHM "copied" the novel custody but it's not true. If you ever read custody, other than the character names nothing else matches. So yes credit must be given where it's due. Yhm writers did an amazing job in the initial epis that it's still inspiring so many shows even after 10 years..But they wouldn't ever be able to recreate Raman and Ishita. Because it's not just the writing, but Divan's acting , their chemistry and their improvisations which made Ishra iconic.
