I knew he would say the exact line, but the fight scene was unconvincing. It felt like the sole purpose of the entire sequence was simply to create an opportunity for him to deliver that line.

To some people raising fresh doubts on legal aspects, pls check link below in quote which has supreme court as recent as Apr 2024 order, about a Hindu marriage validity in a notable marital case.

Pls recollect in same KMTMG in Jan 2024 Nimrit also was shown getting married to Rajeev in temple willingly with all Hindu wedding rituals completed with saat pheras and in proper order with relevant vows taken around holy pyre by both groom & bride holding hands.

yep Sikhs take four pheras in marriage.

Gujarati & Sindhi families within Hindus in some customs take four pheras, it seems most of these varying customs are recognized in Hindu marriage act.

But KMTMG team wrote, shot, hyped and telecast that cringe with no recognized rituals by terming it as valid Hindu marriage after this supreme court news was out, now that's the biggest irony.. it clearly indicates this team didn't do even basic homework.

Not stopping at that gruesome error committed in mela, they are still proceeding to enlighten their viewers about some legal aspects thru mouth of that erratic abuser violator Virat claiming 1 year time is needed to apply for divorce, while taking reference from some 1980's films, now it's another joke.. when there is NO legal valid Hindu marriage done here in first place in timelines of 2024, where is question of divorce?

While what you say is right, the writers don't care about these things. They just made up a new rule in the Hindu marriage act that they have to stay together for one year and they have been repeating that for at least 3 eps (thank god they didnt say that today).

I dont know when writers will stop these stupidities - and they expect us to 'respect' their jobs. They just wrote a disgusting 'wedding' track that too of the leads.

With the long expected Rajeev thing coming up out of the blue, does seem like their initial plan was to get VA married by the 100th ep. From what we have discussed before, Aaji's role seemed to have changed. Gautam being brought in again and then leaving again felt premature too. Facepalm, when even that fake story I came across in the initial eps was way better than how they eventually got them "married".
