Ani at some point overdid the love with Arshi to distract the family from J. Many times he has done this. When Ani J shaadi got revealed, till t/anuja said they would throw J out and Tammi said end shaadi he was ok. Then he suddenly started pleading with Arshi to stay with him.
Many times he has done this. However Avi track he was quite happy to give up on Jhanak, and with his marriage too.
Somewhere Ani feels as long as he is married to J, he has comfort of some relationship with her, like he cherishes the ring. He is also saying what pandit is saying is wrong because he does not want to explore the divorce with Jhanak option.
He'd rather commit bigamy than divorce J and marry Arshi. He craves a tie to J. Thats the only thing he feels he has now. Thats why he wont give her a divorce in the precap - maybe?
