That looks like an one month supply of these bw celebrity’s food intake
I love thalis but God bless Gujaratis they add sugar/jaggery in even the most unsuspecting dishes like daal, Khadi and roasted potatoes.
Hello....how ARE?? Bartan dhoke jaana
Now I wanna have a thali. Not Gujarati though, I cant tolerate sweet savoury food. One reason why I avoid chaat. Either gimme sweet or salty.
I could have a Rajasthani thali
same.
Recently I had a Gujarati thali at a Restaurant, they served me like 50+ dishes (with a teaspoon though) jiske naam nahi pata, and kis item kiske saath khana hain, wo bhi nahi pata mujhe. so I ended up eating just pulkas with daal and baaki sab just taste karke chhor diya.

Everything is sweet. I have lived in Gujarat for a few years. Our cook there used put sugar in Karela and I was like NOOOOOO. Abomination.
When aam ras and dal start tasting the same, it's my cue to run
I really like Gujjus though. They are such sweet people. Very fun to be around.
I’m Gujarati and the only thing I put jaggery is in the Gujarati Dal but you can hardly taste it, I don’t add imli though. I don’t like sweet shaak etc. I don’t like sugar in kadhi makes it taste like vomit. I know they like to balance the flavours with sugar or jaggery but honestly it’s not needed. I don’t even like shakarkand nu shaak.
I remember a Punjabi guy ask me why Gujarati’s put sugar in everything and I’m there thinking my family don’t lol. Guess it depends on how you taught to cook.
Some people soak Karela in salt to remove the bitterness which defeats the purpose. My mum just chops it, makes it with onions and simple masala. She never adds sugar.
