Coming back to the point. The people of Ayodhya are clearly saying "we were cheated, no compensation was paid."

Taking away people's home and source of income to build a temple is definitely not a way of development that will earn you praise and respect from the victims. And eventually bjp paid the price by losing it.

Ofcourse this is not something new. But the way govt. and people glorified it without giving any thoughts to the victim is terrible. And now the victims are being abused. Their faith is being questioned. That's mind-boggling to me.

Now the temple that they build is not going to serve the locals at all. It's not going to benefit them.

The others will enjoy the revenue of this business.

And people are still going gaga over the government shows the lack of empathy in people.

This I completely agree, while many of these shops houses were encroachment yet it's not a thing to simply grab their land..

Government especially BJP messed up a big time here. Hope at least now they give proper compensation

FYI since childhood we have been living on a plot of land which belongs to a temple land, it's still legally not registered on my parents name but we have current bill, Panchayat tax, ration card, Aadhar address etc hence I am aware of how this happens.

The earlier governments have been quiet when many of the people have occupied and encroached upon the roads, because they never had the intention to develop Ayodhya because they wanted to leave it under Faizabad. But when temple construction began encroachments had to be cleared, nazul or leasehold lands are owned by the owner not the leaseholder. Government the original owner can give the people some compensation because they've been living off that land out of kindness, but considering how land prices must have gone up after the temple construction the people might find government the compensation paltry and the mazdoor are pliable and always easy to be manipulated, so they must've been promised if SP is voted to power they might get their lands back. Everybody knows the truth is even SP back in power will want their land mafia to have a go at the hot property because Ayodhya is going to be hugely popular and the real estate prices are only going North.
