Yes, that was a good move by Adi, Kavya and Sanjeev. Sanjeev/Hemanth was quite good in that scene.

Kavya was correct to stop Adi, as that was the only option left for them to reach Alka and Omi.

The way she thinks in such crucial moment is really commendable.

I think, Amma needs to be exposed which is more important, before Adi and Kavya reunited.
