Why don't bollywood makers adapt novels like Bridgerton?

Bridgerton has a huge audience, we have literary history going back to Kalidas

So many adaptation of Shakespeare with dark gory background, why don't they do something like Abhigyan Shakuntalam or Malvikagnimitram?

Saas bahu aur saajish se fursat mile to nagin aur chudail me atak jaate hain. Ye malvikagnimitram wagairah unse na ho payega 😒

and who do you want in that? Ananya , jahnvi or Suhana

TBH I have 0 trust in bollywood to make these kinds of stories. all they can make rn is mindless war movies

Bollywood can't do nudity like bridgerton

Maybe they can do a film series but then it would be spoiled if there are nepos like Janhvi Ananya Sara Alia Shanaya or Archies nepo cast.

There are just some things that are better left for Hollywood to adapt, Bridgerton would not work if bollywood adapted it, it just wouldn't appeal to the Indian audience

So are many foreign movies and shows, esp those most popular or highly rated 🤷‍♀️

Novels have character with depth n multiple layers.

Current lot of actors n actress can't pull them off.

Movie makers also just focus on quick money by copying same concepts which gave one hit movie .

Currently neither there is good writers, directors , actors or actresses n singers. Everyone is mediocre

True but it can be adapted easily pata nahi kyo inko same movies banani hai trying to please Hollywood audience
